Yeah the portrait choices and such were pretty limited in beta, but they expanded that tremendously when they went to commercial release in Korea.

Also you can change your movement method, though it would be difficult to figure that out unless you read korean/thai or japanese.

The SB method takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, most people like it, the only place where it was really aggravating was when you had to travel a long ways and had to repeatedly click the screen edge evert 10-15 seconds.

*Only difference is that WoW is in beta1 and SWG has been out on the market for almost8 months now. There's just a tad bit of a difference there... just a tad*.

Tru dat. And what other MMORPG in just 8 months of release have plans of completely revamping the Combat system? hahaha

The upcoming revamp is gonna be nothing more then a universal nerf.

Daethe well so far WOW hasnt even been in beta so it shouldhave bugs thing is DEVS in this game doesnt listen to its players. Maybe Blizzard will listen duno but i bet they wont make the same mistake SOE has done. Still we have to see if WOW will be any good or better game than this pile of bantha poo

I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke at me saying "Your next." They stopped that when i started doing it to them at funerals.

Ah good, more grist for the mill....Lil Drummerboy said:

"First of all, learn hwo to use quotes

Second, if you left...than why are you still HERE?

Finally....Yes, I know there are problems with the game, so what? What game DOESNT have problems? I think the problems arent so Terribly bad that it should make you hate SOE and leave the game. If it does than fine, but dont tell us. Who really cares, like I said, except others that feal that way. And if they feel that way than just leave, stop preaching to us how bad this game is. Believe it or not, people actually ENJOY the game. Otherwise there wouldnt be a game now would there"

- I'm well aware how to use quotes, but thanks! (If I misused them it was likely a typo...note you're missing a period at the end of your first sentece there)

- I'm here for the same reason Wepps is still here (although curious why you're not flaming HIM.....my guess is you're afraid to because of the weight he carries). We paid our money and won't go out silent. Again, if you don't like what I'm typing then don't read it!

- Yep, lots of problems with the game. But a keen reader would have noted my real complaint: They're not addressed. They've been glossed over in passing but never directly addressed. Come on man, are you HONESTLY satisfied with the customer service here? SOE hasn't proven to me any reason to ever trust in their product again.

- I'll post what I wish. Including my leaving and/or dissatisfaction. I'm not asking you to care (you must have missed that part also?). People who enjoy it, yep...the diehards or the disillusioned...possibly the hopeful also. I'd put myself in the last category and some of the first also. If you're holding out for a great fix then best of luck to you, I just don't see it happening and have become so disgusted with the customer service and direction this games taken that I'm no longer interested. What's it to you? Go away and don't read further if you don't like it.

Oh wait a disclaimer: I'm certainly not a WoW fanboy either. In fact, I'm not even a big RPG fan. I got into this one because it's Star Wars (heh...how many of us did it reel in?) and I've never been a big D&D type guy. Reason I'm going to try it is because it looks phenomenal and the writeup with GameSpy talked about VARIATION and CONTENT (unlike this pile we're paying for). So, I'll give WoW a whirl.

ps - I'd wondered the same thing when the guy above talked about WoW beta.....I applied right away and didn't hear anything about it being live yet. But, then I thought maybe just maybe it was and folks were playing. Turns out I was wrong, he's got his head in his anus and trying to troll.

I too have just recently hit the cancel button. Then went to best buy to get the pre-order of Lineage 2. It looks good, but if that doesnt fit the bill, then I'll move on there also. My time is worth too much just spinning my wheels here in SWG.

Way I see it, this game has the most potential. Sure it's riddled with bugs. Sure we're paying good cash to play a game riddled with bugs. But I'm having fun, so I dont begrudge it, and am looking forward to the future, which should see the devs bringing some nice changes about. Hopefully.

You're absolutely correct, the game has lots of potential. My problem is however:

1 - The Development teams complete lack of communication. I realize its a huge amount of players to try to communicate with, but one post a month PER profession board isn't a lot to ask for. It would clear a lot up.

2 - The overall direction of the game. With the last couple of patches I've had zero incentive to stay. Not only from a BH point of view (although that certainly contributed), but from an overall general SWG player. I'm bored constantly. It's almost been a week now since I've logged in and I'm not missing it at all.

No one really cares, and the people that do are gonna leave son anyways. If our forums werent filled up with people saying how crappy the game is and how they are leaving, it would be a much nicer place

I concur!

80% of the players have registered to the forums (confirmed by the devs)

80% of the forum goers are whiners that doesn't see the big picture.

I have only one thing to say to those kind of people, be gone demon!

So, tell us all then. Please do 80% of us a favor and enlighten us as to what exactly the 'big picture' is? I'm all ears.

The game just lost all the thousands of resources I have been collecting to make armor over the past few months. Maintainence on my vendors and house were good for hundreds of days. I finally had what I needed to make 70% base composite, and now I highly doubt what was in my vendors will be able to be replaced, but it is my greatest hope that it can be.

All my loot, all my time, and all my effort is gone, and I wont start over. Here's to hoping this does not happen to you.
