Quick question (don't wanna start a whole new thread for it)....
swg.allakhazam.com states that Enraged Dune Kimogillas also drop the scale required for the RIS armour pieces. Is this true? It is ONLY off of GDK's, correct?

I seriously doubt it.

Never heard of this happening.. very doubtful too. The item is labelled "Giant Dune Kimogila Scales", so it seems doubtful that any other types of kimos could drop it. Also, in response to the original post of this thread, I have gotten two GDK scales from the static spawn at Kimo Town. Hopefully that can help to dispel the rumor that the one that spawns there can't drop it.

As a (probably necessary) update:
I don't know about the rest, but Peko Peko Feathers now have a serial number.
Although I did just loot 9 identicals
Mad.

Is it a sure thing, then, that Bothans CANNOT wear the helmet?

If you're trying to findReclusive Gurk Kings from random spawns there's a way to be pretty sure whether the nest willsuper spawn them. If there are feral gurks (red dots) there, itwill almost always spawn a King right at the end. If there aren't, it won't. [not 100% on this, but it has withstood my empirical testing].

Can someone point me in the direction of the RIS armor quest FAQ. I know a lot about the armor, but want to know about the quest itself.

Not all races can wear a full suit of RIS armor. Only Humans, Zabraks, and Twi'leks can wear a full set. Wookies of course can't wear any of it (don't worry, your "version" is coming). Trandoshins can't wear the Helmet, Gloves, or Boots. Bothans and Rodians can't wear the Helmet (suckz).

Great thread SonGouki, this helps me immensly since I want to get a set of RIS armour made at some point. Though I shudder at how many deaths I'll have to suffer in trying to get all the looted parts needed.
But it's the fun trying that counts

The other day me and a buddy looted a run of 11 Peko Alb feathers from one corpse, and since then have been on a mission to make RIS armor. It has pretty much been my job to learn everything I can about it to know what we need to get/loot/buy to make the best possible RIS armor. I've pretty much got a handle on everything I need to know about it except for one fact; Bottom line, is it possible to make RIS layers with Peko feathers that are better than the best NS layers? Or are the Peko feathers worthless if I'm trying to build effective armor as opposed to show pieces?
