Ok so if I have my interwoven segments made via factory... i'll need one extra of the bone, hide, and each layer/segment enhancer, meaning i'll need 10 same serial of each item layer/enhancer item?

Probably need 11 to do two factory runs, unless you can find a set of ten indentical power cubes.

I was wondering not being an armorsmith what the different enhancers and layers will do for you. From what I understand an armorsmith with perfect resources could only make a layer for say the interwoven RIS segment that has a max 15% bonus to say kinetic, stun, acid or whatever. Now I know the interwoven has 3 layers and 1 enhancer right? So you could potentially put a kinetic, stun and acid layer in each plus an enhancer? Or 3 nightsister layers and a nightsister shard? Now I have seen people say you can also use Janta Hide, Yellow Cubes, Rancor Hide, Kryat scales, those would all be enhancers right? So can anyone tell me which of those is really the best to use? I don't have any Janta hide yet, but I have base Kryat scales, 5 5% and 1 6% rancor hide, and I think 8 4% yellow cubes. The other day when I was hunting GSKs though I looted some of the armor segment looking things that were not bone armor specific...could these be used in the enhancer slot as well or are they considered layers?
I a trying to understand the plus and minuses of each, so I know which I should shoot for most. The way I understand it, the kryat ones are nice because they have built in acid protection. The janta and yellow cubes add to overall base effectiveness but not to special protection without a HAM increase, while the rancor hide adds a base + heat and cold(not sure those are the right areas) on top of the base(or is it instead of the base?) for a HAM penalty in the layer.
Basically I want to know if I should be buying 7% nightsister layers, and dumping the 3% ones I loot. Or is the only kind of nightsisterlayer thats worth while going to be one that is nearly 15% or even higher? What is a good nightsister shard? I bought a few that were about -15 all the way down, and looted 10 of the base ones. If I am more concerned about HAM cost that having some godly 90% protection all the way down the line, would I want to use nightsister shards instead of the other enhancers(cubes and hides)?
I know there's a lot of questions in there, but you guys know the answers so dish 'em out!

Nightsister Layer add base effectiveness (from 3% to 10%)
The max % is wrong here. I have used Nightsister Layers as good as 19%

"Trandoshins can't wear the Helmet, Gloves, or Boots. Bothans and Rodians can't wear the Helmet (suckz)."
That is completely wrong
I used to be a master armosmith, long since given up for the hologrind, here is a image i had on image dump many moons ago

That must have changed then, because currently Trando's can't wear the helms. Made one a month ago for a Trando and it was no go.

I agree, but not only for GDKs but everything. If it dies I want to loot *something* off of it. Waiting for a respawn is enough, much less finding the darn things and killing it.

YES i was able to equip a RIS helmet still, (this one was made 6 months ago though not that it would make a difference maybe?)
i am a trandoshan also as stated above.
i didnt try the chest or leggings though as they were sold off. But the helm worked no problem. I couldnt find a trustworthy rodian or bothan to let him try it on also.i know of one rodian i can trust with it so when he signs on next time and has time ill have him try
