Thread: Wookiee armor

That sounds like a good assessment of the situation. But I'd say that us getting our own special armor is reasonable restitution for not being able to use most of the clothing, armor, skill attachments and quest rewards in the game.
Anyway, today's friday feature is supposed to showcase the wookiee armor. Hopefully we'll get some hard info about it's stats, but more than likely we'll just get a photo, I'm guessing. Either way I'm excited to see it.
I agree. Anyone who actually does real combat in the game knows that a human in composite armor is way better off than a wookie with his 700 stat bonus. I have played several different races and am currently playing a human. I don't really see that big a difference in stats between humans and wookies, cause I am only gonna fight after I get buffed anyway. When it comes to how much a good set of buffs brings you up then it doesn't really matter what species you play, except that wookies get hurt a lot more without armor. I am very excited to see that wookies are getting some love. I might just be willing to go back to playing a wookie, of course that depends on how the armor looks...

So... you let the wookie win.
That's actually quite unbelievable. I have two characters right now - one is a wookie and one is a human. You can keep saying 'oh that mighty point increase from human', but coming from someone who plays both characters, that point increase means absolutely nothing in the long run. The only thing these points help for is to keep us from dying when we are brand new in the game...but for PvP, I drop in 2-3 shots, compared to my human in 80% composite who doesn't drop until after being hit about 20 shots at least.
And you're saying "let the wookie win..."? Try playing a wookie, then maybe you'll understand the 'life of a wookie' in the deal with armor.

/agreed, don't think most of those people know how difficult and frustrating it can be.

Holy crap...what a bunch of whiners...the dev's will most likely keep everything balanced. You won't be seeing 80% kinetic resitant armor being worn by a wookie...it will be around 20 to 30% at most resists. It won't be to big of deal...
I agree that wookies need SOMETHING to make up for armor. But I don't think it's very fair that if they would get a good 70% Wookie Armor set. Why? Well because wookies can have their stats insanely high. There would be no balance in it.
Idea : Make the armor have VERY high HAM costs.
Yeah, higher encumbrance is only fair. But if the armour is anything below 70% I'm quitting. Wookiee's have been discriminated against more than any race in the game. I remember last time the Devs attempted to do something for us....What was it? Orbs and an ugly robe? Yeah, slap in the face. That's actually what I'm expecting this time too. Ugly armor, poor resists, high encumbrance and they remove our extra stats.
