A suit of RIS wall decoration??? i think not. its the best hunting armor in the game and with 80 Kin and if you get lucky on the encum slices you are about 200 total hame even ubese cant touch this this stuff

I made some the other day that was crap

74-79% Kin
26-34% base

Used -8 RIS layers and base shards and got an encumb in the 190 range on all stats

A little optimiztion and this should work out 80% kin adn the same encumb

*Disclaimer* It was a I want to wander around in my RIS and dont want to have to buff to wear kinda suit..

I believe the original poster asked if it was possible

the possibilities of RIS make it much better than comp

the "best" mathmatical RIS suit is 44% stun 80% kin and 90% base with 0/0/0 HAM

the "best" mathmatical comp suit is 44% stun 80% elec 90% base with 0/0/0 HAM

RIS can stomp composite if you know what you are doing. For the poster that posted "well you need 3x8% NS layers to get light RIS" may be misleading.

If you are going to make RIS, why stop at 8% layers? I used 2x stun layers and a 23% NS layer for some of my RIS. turned out 80% kin 24% stun and 80% base unsliced. Also used a -73 mind shard and got it sliced to 90%. the final product of 24% stun 90% base (80% kin) was much much lighter than a comparable composite helmet and had higher condition (my RIS was like 150 mind HAm and 50k condition)

with interwoven it is pretty easy to get 80% kin and 0/0/0 HAM with boots/gloves/arm pieces, this is not easy with composite

it is also easy to get 80% kin and 60k condition with a base that slices to 90% (if you don't worry about acid and stun)

I have a few 8% base cubes and have seen over 10% base, I also have seen/used rancor hides that were 12% base as well as 10% base janta hides

RIS can be great, it is just a little more diffficult to play with than composite and high end stuff is generally needed to make.

There really isn't a way to prove one armor is "better"' than another. I posted a while back about my 44% base (including stun and lightsaber) tantal helmet with 0/0/80 HAm unsliced. Some people might think this is the better helmet if it slices to 50% or so stun.

ok my alt named twona on the naritus server has started the ris armor quest. and after i made the segment and the layer they both were no longer in my inventory. b4 i start collecting gdk scales do the armor pieces that you make disapear once you show they guy that you made them? or is that a full set of ris gone into the collection of some crackpot npc?

you only have to craft the boots to get RIS certified, not an entire suit. the guy does steal them from you, but you only lose 1 gdk scale total.

I was just wondering what "the hard to get" components are for RIS. I know a few like the peko peko feathers and GDK scales, but exactly how many (same serial, etc..) do or would I need for a full suit? Any bit of info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!
