Thread: Armorsmithing Mandalorian Armor *SPOILERS*
Thanks for the info. Can't believe I haven't seen this anywhere.
We got a lot deeper into the dungeon today although we still haven't received any of the actual components for crafting the armor. It's a really big and complex place with a lot of puzzles to navigate through (and fairly interesting ones). Still no idea as to what "bounty hunter" armor is. I suspect that it is looted but I don't have a terribly good reason for that.
StGabe.
from what ive seen so far this armor will be even more rare than RIS armor
RIS armor is a total joke and waste of everyones time nobody wears it nobody sell's it nobody see's it except in concept art
So my defenseless armorsmith is soposed to go thru a very tuff cave to mash a few buttons to (CRAFT) some armor ?
So i need to have 5 or more combat type guildsmates come along and protect me while i do this and drag our DE and tailor along too huh ?
So when we spend the hour or more doing this we get 1 peice of armor for the 8 people then probable have to redo it again to get another peice ?
Sounds like a generic peice of armor to me .even if its not i have to stand around while everyone else has fun in combat and i do the best i can to stay alive hiding behind the combat elites so my skiltree can mash a button to make generic armor that looks Kool ? Thats not my idea of being a armorsmith and crafting a quality item i am proud to sell.
When its al said and done i cant make any more whthout redoing this process ?
Sounds like more RIS arm,or to me LOL
Another waste of time and resources for new broken content is more like it but this game has made me super jaded and sarcastic so its SOEs fault im bitter about new content
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A better way to add a DE into making the armor is to have to buy a finished product from the DE for final assenbly
A better way is to have to buy a finished product from a tailor for final assembly
A better way is to have to buy a product from a master artisan for final assembly
The best way is to have the final armpr peice be a crafted item and not be selectable as a factory made item so each peice is hand made..meaning that identiacl serial numbers wont work in a factory so i cant add a crate of tailor items to the factory and spew out 100 mando helments.
Why cant the dang quest for getting the schematic be in the DANG artisan terminal for armorsmiths wherre its soposed to be ?
Why does common sense elude the SOE DEV team ....Always ?
Armor is hard to repair in case most havent noticed that we almost always lose condition in every repair so if this new armor is super hard to get involving lots of help to get and time i see this armor being decoration armor like RIS armor but more common because as soon as the ( NEW) wears off who wil help us get thru the cave to do this huh ?..........NOBODY
for gods sakes let us make the armor like any other armor after we complete the quest 1 time using normal componants and if you want to limit who wears it do a certification thing like weapons or this will be more wasted content like RIS is
This also destroys soloing. "I went in, solo'd the place, and made all my armor. Now I'm farming it for more suits." Groups may farm the place, but they need at least three mixed templates (which prevents a certain level of uberness) or more if you want pure combatants. That doesn't stop farming, but it sure slows it down.
Personally, I enjoy the dev's view on this one. I see how each fits in the scheme of things. I see this as "way cool" rather than insulting. There's enough glory to go around. Enjoy it!
I was being sarcastic.
He thinks crafters are droids and they just click a button that sucks in resources and out pops a finished product.
j/k
I think its good with interdpendencies between the various professions but instead of having droids to do the actual crafting, I'd like to see the quest changed to requiring MAS/MDE/MT operating the droids to get a single use schematic (as in one piece in final assembly, no factory schems), which can then be experimented upon back home in the workshop.
As it is now, it seems a little too much like NWN to be of my liking. Just fill the droids with components and push a button and you'll get a generic piece of equipment, although rare in looks and availabilty.
Note that I dont want to be able to make factory runs, nor do I want it to be an AS only suit. I merely would like to keep experimenting in, for the sake of a little variety (and fun).
I also find it an interesting idea to force the crafters along, it will add a little variety to the each one to his own, kill as much as fast as you can style of play currently employed in the higher end dungeons. Now the combat guys will have to watch their crafting companions back, or the mission will fail.
Well it seems like we are still learning all that will go into this armor. I make segments for a DE and buy padding from a Tailor as well as cloth, etc...I personally think the cooperation required to make the armor will be a good thing and fun. Of course we would all gripe HOWEVER it the new armor was put out...unless we logged in and saw the schematic on our pads.....![]()
I'd like to see them ease up some of RIS difficulty and keep the quest with multi-professions in place for the Madalorian. We all want to offer something different to our customers. Also make Marine and IMP armor craftable.
Just my 2 cents worth.

something not making alot of sense to me, is if you notice, it says you are supposed to place the Bounty Hunter Armor on the thing to make it Mandalorian... does that mean that BH's are gonna have their own armor?
