I also do alot of custom orders and it's nice to put the armor in a pack and put it on my vendor with said persons name and order. Saves me and my customers alot of hassel. If they do away with this, there may be one less master AS around.

I don't like this

I don't sell armour in packs on my main vendor but I do sell packs of crates to smugglers ,and packs of free armour to guildmates, from my private vendor in my house. This means they can collect their orders when I'm offline or not available. If I'm no longer allowed to do this it will be extremely inconvenient, both for me and my customers.

I don't sell my stuff in packs but even still, there's no reason. Maybe we "asked for it", just like we did with the crafting nerf..

I personally dislike it, I think a much better idea is to allow you to examine what's inside the bag.

I like selling full suits on my vendor for those who dont want to click buy 9 times, and then click retrieve 9 times, and delete 9 emails. Plus much easier to see what the whole thing costs in one chunk. I obviously also sell all pieces separately, but the bags are nice. Plus, VERY nice for custom orders you want to put on vendor... no one buys a custom order if it's in a bag with someone elses name on it (especially if they have no clue what's in the bag )

Its got to be one of the worst ever changes they have made. It has a huge impact on those armoursmiths that do custom order or sell complete suits on their vendors.

I think its pretty poor that they chose this route to fix the problem with people selling backpacks full of crap and claiming its something else. FFS they should just add a damn button that allows the purchaser to delve into the backpack to check the contents! If its an issue of database space, then let the contents of the bags count towards the total number of items on the vendor, like they do in houses or banks.

Please note that I dont have a problem with this change if it is applied to the bazaar ONLY. Thats what really needs speeding up, especially in laggy areas.

I dont like it either, but I heard apparently it has nothing to do the database issues. People were using the backpacks to slice lightsabers.Since they arent tradeable, they were offered to vendors in travel packs. Sliced, and then sold back in the travel packs. It's sad that this happens like this.

Everything else that was easy was nerfed. Itwas only a matter of time before thecrafters got theirs.

I agree, this will destroy the ability to sell custom orders and 'full suits.' It goes beyond that as well, while crafting large orders and seperating them during/after slices so I can make sets I frequently have to temporarially put some of these nearly full bags on to my vendor while i simply rearrange them to put into sets since I have to catalog them to figure out which slices go with which ones and there simply isn't enough room in a house to do it with.By the time I'm done I end up with a dozen or more packs full of sets that I put up for sale.

I gave up long ago just selling 'basic' full sets and virtualy all of my work (outside general vendor sales) is custom work.. including specific layering and encumbrnce or protect numbers I have to hit. It may take 10 or more tries to get the slice the customer wants and there is absolutely no way to keep it straight unless you can bag these items to sell together.

All crafters will get hitby the experimentation nerf in publish 7, this backpack "fix" is just adding salt to the wound.

Does not affect me in any way.

I never trusted bags on vendors as I remember when they lost all contents.

Also, I stopped doing custom orders as that was leading to burnout.

Now I just stock my vendor, which works out well. And my customers prefer buying piece by piece anyway.

So...*shrug*...not a nerf for me

Can just agree with Ail and Bey

Never sold any bags of armor, I am flexible as armorsmith and if people buy 40% more chests I have to be flexible enough to fullfill those needs.

I dont misuse vendors as storage. I have input and output hoppers offactorieswith 100 slots, 100 slots in the bank and 150 in my house. I think this is more than enough.

man this is going to be a pain if it goes though. Yesterday I fancied a change of clothes, but as you know so many items that you could spend all day trying out a new outfit., be lo and behold, a vendor titled something like "Full suits/costumes". So I looked on it and there was a backpack with a complete outfit entitled HOTH COMMANDO, so I bought it and got a great new outfit.

I dont like spending all day looking though vendors for armour or outfits, selling in packs makes life easier and quicker, and also offers crafters a way to add a bit of variety to sales.

I havn't been reduced to using my vendor for storage yet, but it's coming soon, and I understand perfectly well why people do it. THERE'S NOT ENOUGH STORAGE IN GAME FOR A CRAFTER! man, the resources we need, the components we need, the loot items we aquire, the odds and ends we want to store, there simply isn't enough storage.

If they cared about their players instead of nerfing the vendors like this they could instead make resources stack up to a million (or more?) units in a stack instead of 100k. Let crates hold up to 1000 units. These two changes right here would have a huge impact on the number of items I have.

But instead we're going to see vendors with 150 item limits that won't accept backpacks with items. Bravo SOE.

LOL. You know what the maximum size of a resource stack was in beta? 250!

I agree about the crates. We should be able to set how many items are in our crates.

If SOE is so desperate for storage space, they can use one of my 80GB hard drives. I buy more if it will help.

I sell full suits in packs but also sell individual componants, what i also do is i give a small discount for buying a full suit in a pack, or rather i add a little to the individual items.

So no i wouldnt like this feature to go.

One thing ive allways wanted to be able todo was set how many items i wanted per create, i dont like selling psg's i packs or 20's as i find this is a little too much for one outlay of psg's in one go, normally i just take 10 out the pack then sitck them on my vendor as individuals.

Also im currently doing a production run of 1000 psg's, just imagine how much storage i need for to be able to do this. I have 4 factories which hold pretty much all my resources apart from armour type specific whichi keep in aptly named packs in my house.
