Ended up selecting 75k a suit for my Wookiee armor Price..

and it was flying off the shelf... Did not hurt abit that I am a wookieeso I could wear it also... And a lot of wookiees where flying into my shop sending me tells... It was so good of a day, that I moved my crafting station from the basement of the PA hall to the Main room... so that I could put my pooor old droid away...

I still have 7 more sets to be sold today, and that leaves me with 4 for the early day, witch I expect will fly off just as fast...

I suspect I will be making more and more of this armor, after I get my new vendor up and on the map...

Good stuff for using garbage endorian wood, and Ok yavin leather...

I think I saw more wookiees yesterday than I did in weeks past...

and I think I will contiune to get more and more wookiee customers as word of mouth spreads... Heck... if this keeps up... I might forget about Composite market.. and just work on being the wookiee armorsmith...

Character Name: Chalvooka WOOKIEE FROM DAY ONE!! still a wookiee even after a small break from SWG!!! A Wookiee from before wookiee armors and ROTW or RTOS!!!!

Yesterday I was selling my Wook Armor for 150k Per suit... stats were 47% Kinetic / 22% Base on the Chest and Legs, 48% Kinetic 24% Base on the Bracers...

I only had two factories running and managed to get about 10 sets sold... And of course hooked up the Local Guild Wookiee with my Best set for free

I expect to be dropping the price on my Wook Armor to about 125k in the next couple days... Yesterday They had to pay the premium to have it first, and also to keep me in stock... Didn't really have any complaints on the price and everyone seemed to be happy with it

Twas a Good day

Rule of thumb is 10k per 10% of resist(rounded up) So say 55% kinetic with 23% base will be 80-100k for a 9 piece suit(this is dependant on how the individual galaxy economies are, some are out of whack). But wookie armor is 4 pieces so resource cost goes down a bit. I will prolly charge 75-80K on Corbantis, depending on how much I have to pay for yavinian leathery hide.

You really can't price based on stats. What happens if you are paying 100cpu for the wooly hide?

I know the tailors are charging an arm and a leg for there Padded Segments so we charge less for the armor (doesn't make sense I know).

On Starsider, I used to use Edera Steel in armor, but Jedi are paying 300cpu for it because of the 1000 SR rating so its just not cost effective to use in armor anymore. Prices for Endorian Deciduous Wood(and other types of Wood also) went up 1000% overnight.

What I don't understand is how come we are labelled as greedy and thieves to everyone for the prices in armor. Triple Layered Comp uses almost 5k total resources, they are all pretty rare, they must have awesome stats (I could easily sell the resources alone for 50cpu). But yet, these people have no problem paying Millions for a weapon that just has a good slice and a damage power up. But, when we try to ask millions for Composite with 40% Stun and 85%+base resists, we are thieves.................

I won't be charging more just because its new, it may be expensive because I just don't have the time to get a large supply of Wooly hide and Lokian Leathery, so of course I will have to purchase these.

Me too

With 25 k per 60/20 suit, I make at least 5 k profit per set. And when I am out, I am out.

I guess I just don't get this.

While i respect your generosity, why, unless you are roleplaying an extremely generous and kindly armorsmith, would you accept a profit of 5k for your time making this suit, when someone wouldGLADLY pay you2 to 5x more for the same thing. You don't sell your car to someone for 3k when theyhave already offeredor are willing to pay 6k for it IRL, right? If you do, we have a name for you, and it isn't generous if ya know what I mean. But seriously.

You can make 10-40k in less than 20 minutes running group missions on the adventure planets. Although this might not appeal to you as much as making and selling armor, but why should your effort be worth less credits in game than a combat characters effort. Frankly, I believe it shouldn't. I value the small amounts of time I have in this game too highly to feel the need to eek out a living at 5k profit per suit just so I can help some other player make millions running missions with that equipment.

Online sites sell millions of virtual credits for real money out there. While some of these credits came from dupes and exploits, a vast majority came from the only actual source of credits in this game, MISSIONS. A TKM with some descent armor, and possibly buffswill pay about 20k for a 3 hour session of playing for their time. Insaid time, they can bring in several hundred thousand credits or more. Why should their playtime be worth a profit of 10x their costs, while mine should beworth 1/5th of mycosts. That makes no sense to me.

Profit of 5K!

Gee, that's a lot, considering I can run one mission and get paid 12K in about five minutes. Let's see, spend hours gathering good resources for armor, hunting down a tailor, making schematics, tending factories, and stocking a vendor, or run a mission for over 100% more income in five minutes.

Seriously though, I base my pricing on my time. Wookiee armor required me to buy and run a new type of harvester for wood, required me to go to two different advanced planets for resources, required me to hunt down a master tailor, and overall required me to do a ton more planet-hopping than I would have if I didn't make the stuff.

I'm making a schematic out of curiousity, and throwing a few sets up on my vendor at a price that reflects the amount of time I put into it, not the quantity of resources or anything like that. If they sell, they sell. If they don't, they don't. No skin off my nose.

Not planning on making any for now, maybe I will change my mind later...

Keeping my hide for ubese and composite and anyway I don't have the time/will to gather the extra resources and make the extra factories runs...

Ok, let me explain. I collect most resources myself. They cost me less than 1 cpu. If I buy them (usually on the bazaar) I never pay more than 10 cpu.I have an alt that can collect hides and makes a profit doing so (the missions you mention). Also, I have lots of customers willing to provide me with free hides. I make them free clothing and armor in return. So making armor cost me practically nothing except for the time I spend doing so. I am not sure how it is for the other armorsmiths out there but I chose my profession because I like it. So spending time making armor is fun for me, I don't feel the need to charge other people for my fun. I like being able to provide those that can't afford to pay tons of credits with decent armor. I do not mass produce armor. I do factory runs but usually I do not produce more than 10 suits at a time. Credits mean nothing to me. I have collected over 3 million of them in a few months and have no idea what to do with them. And yes I am getting more and more every day. I base my prices on what I think is reasonable and for me that means that a wookie suit is worth 25 k. If others want to sell for more, please dont let me stop you (as if I could) as I wont let you stop me either.

Its really nice to see that some ppl are not the greedy crooks that some other ppl are. The only reason armor with those stats is selling so high is b/c it is new. Once the initial demand goes down, alot of the ppl who paid that kind of money will realize that overall, the wookiee armor is not nearly as valueable as high composite. I for one, am going to wait a week or two before I even start to inquire. Ive been playing this long without it, I can survive without it for awhile longer. Not to mention that alot of wookiees Ive talked to arent used to the idea of encumberances, and have complained about that aspect of armor, since this is also a new concept to most wookiees.

Im glad there are ppl out there like Emily, who are honestly trying to make the game more fun for fellow players without thinking of how it benifits them as the most important factor. Im starting to wish I was on her server, since I havent found anyone on Corbantis server yet with even half that amount of generosity.

Another thing to,like mentioned above, is that I find it sickening that with the few numbers of wookiees out there some of them would rip-off their furry brethern. Its not just low class, its kind of evil when you conisider they themselves know the situation we've been in, but would look to scam someone just to make a quick buck. Like one of my guildies say, "Some people in this game cant help but act out the total scumbag they really are, but hide from ppl in real life." SO true.

And the fact that the devs have put this type of resource requirement on armor that is average-at-best, is yet another move by them that makes mesometimes wonder why I keep paying them. Like yet another poster said above, "Its like the Devs dont understand their own game." So sad.

Yo yo, well if ne1's interested,i have kitted out all my wookee mates, and now have 10 suits on my vendor, Carn Gudrum. All hav 30%kin/20%base, going for 80k a set, and ill make sets to match if u need any.

And i will continue to keep making them as I feel that wookees deserve to have one less worry when TKA'ing or PVP'ing..

I'd say around 50-80k.

But i'll make them only for special orders, it's not like i'm going to stock 20 suits a day.

Do you think the price differences are based on the amount of suits a smith sells?

Smith A) Sells 100 suits a week and stock 6-12 different types plust parts.

Smith B) Sells 10 suits a week

I think Smith A would sell for more since they go through so many resources and have so little time. What do you think?
