Thread: What will you charge for Wookiee Armor?
I was able to get one set done and sold today. It was 36% kinetic and 19% other and it went for 40K easily. It took less than 5 mins to sell it in a group of about 20 people...with no wookies in sight! Thats right a non wookie bought my crappy armor for 40k. I ended up paying only for 2k of wood, and the rest was all profit. Once I get the advanced stuff ill start to charge more. But im not about to waste my advanced segments on this crap stuff...im saving it for the other suits that are on the way. Anyway, i couldnt figure out how much to charge, i really juts guessed and like I said unloaded it in 5 mins. Im upping the cost on the next one to see what i can get away with.

been selling 80k for chest 70k for legs and 40k a bracer, 230k a set that works outto.that without using advanced segs, will be charging increased prices tomorrow. cant keep up with demand

Rule of thumb is 10k per 10% of resist(rounded up) So say 55% kinetic with 23% base will be 80-100k for a 9 piece suit(this is dependant on how the individual galaxy economies are, some are out of whack).But wookie armor is 4 pieces so resource cost goes down a bit. I will prolly charge 75-80K on Corbantis, depending on how much I have to pay for yavinian leathery hide.
From what it looks like it is the same resists as Adv chitin, and I cant give that away at 35k. The resource cost for chitin is so high I cant sell for less. But since wookies have no other choice ATM it will be supply and demand. Prices will be drivin up.
I am also hearing tailors may sell the padding at inflated prices too so that can effect the price as well. They dont need the padding for any of their clothing (Unlike synth cloth and reinforced fiber panels which both AS and tailor use) so you cant blame them for trying to get a piece of the wookie armor pie.

btw, the armor goes for 60k on 11% kinetic up to 230k for nearly 50% kin (which is almost acceptable... but still too high) on chimeara.

With 25 k per 60/20 suit, I make at least 5 k profit per set. And when I am out, I am out.

For the amount of hides it takes to make the armor padding, advanced segments, and wookie armor anything lower than 150k isn't worthmy time. To do a run of armor paddings it will take 10k wooly, 15k hide and 5k fiberplast. That's alot of hides to get just for a run of padding. For the adv. segments you will spend another day collecting 8k Yarvin Leather. The suits will take you 1.1k wooly and 1.1k leathery to make 10, so all in all it takes WAY too much hides and too much time harvesting to make it worth while. Granted people think you can just buy the hides, but have you ever tried to buy high OQ SR hide constantly? It's not there. I am starting to think that wookie armor will be similar to padded in that not many will make it for the amount of hides it takes. I wish they would ease back on the hides and use some other resource that we can drop a harvester on. Its hard enough gathering 30k wooly a week to make comp suits. Just my thoughts...
I've been getting 51kinetic/29base on mine and I am selling it for 200k per set. Given the amount of time and factory runs involved and the difficulty of getting the resources, I can't see bothering with it for less. It has been selling and I've had no complaints. (Of course, I gave away the first run of 10 to wookiee friends, some of whom sat down and cried...lol.)
If the prices drop to under 100k, I simply won't make it. Not worth the time and effort.
