Point being they look like they've had an encumb slice - you sure that screenshot isnt doctored ?
Made from krayt segments that have 0 HAMS, and two points were experimented into lowering hams on top of that. Anyone who has a character in the Valcyn galaxy is more then welcome to look me up, I will gladly show them to you.
lol,
This wouldn't be my PvP suit, all you need is someone with rifles 4 to pull out a +100kraytedjawa rifle and incap me in two or three shots.
The fact is, this armor will be to rare and valuable to wear once the incap durability penalty is instated. I would likely only use it to hunt mobs I have tested in advance, to ensure they cannot damage me in any way. If the death penatlies are instated, I definately won't be using the gloves until the armor hole is fixed, which should, but won't,be fixed before they consider penalizing people for death.
I have found that in creatures/armor with resists that are 100%, every now and then the protection crit fails and lets the dmg through, so you'renot completely invincible. From my experiances fighting 100% resists though, one time fighting a Nightsister Spellweaver (100% energy resists and ar1) my at-st would almost all of the time hit, and do 0 dmg, but every now and then it would hit and do full dmg, only conclusion I could come to
Already heard about those gloves through word of mouth =o)
Even with 100% armor there is always the armor hole, but I read here that they are going to remove the armor hole then someone with 100% armor will be invincible. That's not right. Either there has to be an armor hole or the effectiveness of armor needs to be capped. Yes, there are some creatures that do stun damage. In particular I frequently see storm troopers switch to stun batons. However, there are many creatures that have no stun damage attacks in their arsenal so a person could kill them with no danger and no decay.
Imagine walking up to a lair worth40kmoney (aftersmuggler slices terminal)and ignoring the creatures in the lair then just knocking down all the ham of the lair, then continuing to ignore the creatures and walking to the next mission. How much money are you going to make in a day?
Imagine walking up to a lair that spawns an enormous amount of creatures. You've all seen them, lairs with nearly15+ creatures that spawn out of them. You knock the lair down till its almost dead, then you area attack and kill 15 creatures at once for 60K xp. How long is it going to take to achieve master in any combat profession, a day?
Your armor can only decaywhen you actually die even after they put in the decay on death. There would be no reason to die if your armor has 100% resist. There's practically nothing that can kill you except a force sensitive npc if he happens to spawn with a stun baton as a weapon or an AT-ST. As long as you use a quarter of your brain and dont engage in PvP you are nearly invulnerable.
SWG has been out a long time. How many suits of armor on all servers have been made in that time? Hundreds of thousands? Millions? Tens of Millions?
In all this time, how many pieces of armor with 100% resistshave been made? Just one.
I think you see where I am going with this.....everyone complaining about how 'uber' and 'imbalanced' this set of gloves is needs to take a chill pill. All of the examples givento showthat a nerf is neededassume someone is wearing a full suit of this, which just isn't gonna happen anytime in the next few years.
Why do you think only one has been made? One has been made that *you* know of. If I made a 100% armor I wouldn't be advertising it because that is sure to result in nerfs. Even a 90% armor is vastly overpowering for players if there is no armor hole. I bet a person could come pretty close to soloing a krayt dragon with no pets at all with a full suit of 90% armor.

How do i know the number of the draft scematic?
I've changed my mind. There have always been unique powerful weapons and items in games... why not here as well? I've been thinking about this while in class and drawing some parallels to other MMO's I've played, perhaps thinking of this as an Artifact Item or Relic might help some? The only difference being that it was made by a player...

Hope this goes to the right thread..... *crosses fingers*
I hold the same viewpoint Rei, and since they were made with dropped krayt segments, they do have a certain artifact or relic quality to them.
There is no doubt that these gloves are *extremely* rare. It is likely that no one will ever have a full 100% suit. Even if they did, there are still many ways to damage a person wearing this armor. DOTS, Combat Medics or anything that can posion or disease can easily kill someone wearing this armor.
To the person who said that I shouldn't have mentioned I had 100% armor, for it will result in a nerf. I say that the devs only nerf things that they themselves, and many players see as unbalancing. So as long as there isn't mass uproar over these gloves (which there isn't) I think they will leave it as is.
Also, the fact that if one does the math of the slice 77% (base) x 1.34 (34%slice) = 103.18%, yet the armor caps at 100. To me, that indicates that the devs have capped the armor at 100%. Which means they recognize it will likely be hit once or twice.
If the devs saw that 8 or 9 of these suits of uber armor were appearing every month, they would likely nerf it, and I would agree fully. However one person has one piece of 100% armor. If they nerf it, I would be personally offended, because the nerf would effect only me.
