No offence to you Moge, but please forgive all who try and flame but we are a bit raw still from this.
Okram did everything a Corr should do. I know because I am part of the "alpha" team for AS and we have had out of forum contact with him during the CU Alpha process. He loved this professsion, fought for us and was ignored. We didnt ask for much, a simple 'we are aware of your (Armorsmith) concers' would have gone a LONG way. But we got silence.
We are being forced this system, with no feedback from the armorsmith community during its implimentation. Its that simple. We started providing feedback when we finally got the system (when TC went live) and have been ignored.
Other profs are going to have to pay for this mess when the CU goes live.
Good luck if you get it. You will inherit Devs that ignore you, a post CU cumbersome and tedious profession, and a hostile Armorsmith communtiy.

We had a passionate and active correspondent and we still got screwed.
"We need a voice"
Our voice was ignored.

Correspondant or not, we ARE going to get screwed. Whats important now is whether we are lubed up or not.
Another *****
Sadly I couldn't agree more
My butt feels sore just thinking about it.
*shudder*
ROFLMAO. Think happy thoughts, like puppies and ice cream.

That's just sick! Someone call Ben & Jerrys and give them the idea.

well.. after reading all the people behind the demoted correspondent i find this post to be completely up to par with the willingness of people to do such fun things as sell out so that they can get ahead. the AS of SWGseemingly had a good guy as a correspondent and lots of support.. way to go mage.. nothing like selling out your own team

I have also submited my applicatoni for corr here
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=armorsmith&message.id=83638
However on the off chance i dont get it (very very slight chance) I do fully support your decision to apply for it and we do need someone to keep posting about it on the Corr boards as well so that we push it on all fronts

Thanks for that. I know I am due for some flamage due to my timing I quess I was thinking more about the profession than I was about the timing of it all.
Maybe I am still wet behind the ears here but I still think there is time. Yes we will have to "Go unlubed" on a few of our issues but I don't see why we cannot pull together and get at least a few of our requests handled.
I know the list is much longer but:
Reduce FP costs for Faction Armor
No Armor Cert - leave in encum mods where/how there are
another resource reductions
change (at least a few) of the named resources back to the ones we have all spent time and/or millions on.
These 'should' be very viable requests. Yes, getting them heard is and will be the problem but I think with these few changes we can be on our way to at least a start of something we can all get behind.
Bottom line is, Armorsmith like weaponsmiths are critical to the game. If our Armor costs millions (and it will with no changes) then that alone will greatlyt inpact every player ingame. TC still has a few weeks lets see if we cannot get at least these Bare Bones changes in.
I know the community will be sour toward whoever gets the job. Im ok with that. I just refuse to sit down and Clean out my Vendors becuase we armorsmiths had one hell of a bad day.

Well it sounds like you are one of the very few who are sending in serious applications and it also appears you might be able to do the job as well as anyone at this juncture so i wish you the best of luck in it and hope you get it

Nothing mentioned on our 1 meaningful exp line. Which i may add is probably what has caused most of our strife after the small concession to OQ/SR.
