Sorry, If you get it, I wish you well, but dont delude yourself into thinking its going to make a difference.
Let me assure you I am not fronting myself as a Knight-who-will-save-the-day. Believe me when I say I know this job will pretty much be bashing my head against the wall. I have no grand scheme to get mass changes or to even guarentee that our voice will infact be heard.
I know my timing is a little off in posting this so fast but I assume the Devs will fill the position pretty quick and I need to head out tonight so I wanted to post prior to leaving for the evening.
Dont take what I said as a slight to you, but Okram as you know was a good guy and got shafted. Insulate yourself so they dont do the same to you. Cause they sure seem good at doing it.,

Proper ettiquette would have been to wait at least 3 days before making a post like this.

I just applied for the Armorsmith Correspondents position and on the off chance I am chosen I figured I should let you all know who I am so as not to freak anyone out since many if not most of you have no idea who I am.
First off, I play on Chilastra and have been a member of this community from far before launch. I made my Armorsmith about a year ago after starting off as a Master Architect which I played from day 1 (well day 2 anyway). I realize that compared to most I do not have a high post count but I would like to think that my posts are for a reason; either to answer a question or ask one rather than posting for posting sake.
My Armorsmith is my 'Main' I play her whenever I am online and I play my alt 'Moge' when I need to break off and just run around and kill stuff. I wanted to assure everyone that I do have a very strong understanding of both the Old and the New system(s) and I have been following the community reactions and the Devs responses very closely. Armorsmithing is my primary activity in game and the CU changes are a great concern to me as they are to you.
For a long while now I have wanted to be a correspondent but I always figured someone else with a better post count or a better reputation would get the job so I never bothered. I feel that now more than ever I can step up and (try) to lead the Armorsmiths into a successful profession in the Post-CU game.
Again, I know many of you have no idea who I am but please do not take that as a reason to assume that I am not qualified both in my knowledge of Armorsmithing and my Community Relations experience. I am ready and very willing to help everyone get the most out of the Profession that we all love to play.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask them here.
only few time past since our beloved corr is gone...
I think they position has to be left free till after CU or reinstate Oakram! I can only quote the Devs here. Online games are long time involvements! We cant expect anything from a Corr bering Corr for 3 Weeks or what till CU hits... Your not going to achieve anything else to give SOE the good feeling of having ganked a good Corr and having still plenty of supply for new Corrs...
If anyone's for AS Corr the Corr position would be meaningless...

I'm sure you are doing what think is right. You will get flames for this because alot of folks are angry; not just at the firing, but at the destruction of the game/profession we all liked alot.
I'm one who thinks having another Forum Scribe may be pointless though. It hasn't worked for many months, why would it work now? The only time our voices are really heard is when we mass up in a thread posted by a random user and debate it. Thats really what got the creature resource change through.
Perhaps if we have no correspondant, we will actually get to interact directly with the makers. Probably not...but it wont be worse than the service we are getting now.

I agree, however with time being short I assume(d) the Devs will make a choice pretty quick...maybe I should have waited at least a few more hours.

Agree, I have been a leader on a few other large projects/games and I know the meatgrinder all to well. In the end all we can do is make our posts and fight 'the good fight' and hope the powers that be hear us.
...and yes Oa'Kron is a good guy. I kinda doubt we will see him around for a while but I do hope he returns.

We do need a voice, and he/she needs to be level headed. You appear to be one such. However i do hope that either one of the lately-silent forum regulars who are also level headed people take the role, OR that if they dont you can deal with it well once you got it
Good luck anyways

Moge, this is wrong.
Oa'kron represented us well. SOE may not like it, but he remains the primary candidate for most players it seems, and you offering to fill the shoes so quickly smacks of selfishness and calousness.
If the AS community stands together and asks for Oa'kron back we will be far better off.
