Thread: What will become of existing Comp armor when the CU hits?

The way I see it SWG is being dummed down to the lowest common denominator. Most players don't understand the current combat system as designed. Mainly because it is complex , undocumented, and has so many broken aspects that you have to be brilliant or have great teachers to get an understanding of it. Sure there are the forums, but someone just starting out would not want to play after reading 80% of the forum posts. The game is broken.
I am not going to worry myself with the undocumented details of the changes going in. SOE is fully responsible for this game being broken, and they are fully responsible for fixing it. I am sure Lucas has made this point perfectly clear to SOE. They are ripping off every good idea from the newer games to make SWG better. They will use every weapon at their disposal to influence/manipulate the player base.
If they truly wanted feedback on their quality of work or the impact of the changes going in, they would fully disclose what they are doing. This talk about NDAs and not wanting to blow the suprises is malarkey. They are wanting a big marketing push. This is the last hurrah for the Star Wars franchise this year. SOE can't afford to miss it.
SWG is dead... Long live SWG!!
If they truely wanted feedback us alphatesters would have actually tested in an Alpha... so, they could give a *&^% what we "think". Personally I wanna know how many of the things that I currently own will I even be able to use in the future.
It's just like that bald kid in the first Matrix movie... "There is no alpha"

Armor such as this is not "one-size fits all"!
If you look at it truthfully, it does make sense.
It's not some mystical techinque... you're talking about form-fitting the armor to the character's body-size.
You could change the name to "custom-fit" or something, but I personally have no problem with "Bio-Link".
As far as names... majority can rule if it makes most happy... I don't mind.

We are forcing you to take a stand in the War to supply factional armor to that side. No one is forcing you to join the GCW if you don't want to, you just won't have the benefits of being able to make and sell factional armor.
Factional points are obtainable in space, ground combat or via a nice friendlylocal Smuggler. I am sure theSmuggler's will appreciate the influx of newcustomers.
Thank you. This is exactly the point. You are giving us perks for join a side of the war. I'm glad I can actually be an Imperial Armorsmith.

The reason ths customer needs to spend faction points when they Bio-Link the armor is because the schematic packs are fairly inexpensive to the Smith. We still want the faction cost of the armor to be about the same as it currently is. So it was split up partially between the supplier and the end User. As to what the market price of Armor Cores becomes, that remains to be seen.
Again if you do not want to participate in the GCW, you don't have to.

Well, if he joins a factions, but stays on leave cause he doesn´t want to participate in the GCW, won´t he still get attacked when getting scanned then? So he doesn´t really have a choice, like in many other threads about the GCW already posted, if you join a side, you join the war at the risk of getting attacked. Or is this due to change?
I suggest joining the Imperials than. That way you only pay a fine.

Will I, as a MDE/MA/MM no longer be able to go on DWB runs? You need a DE to get in the room, and a MA to craft. With non-combatents no longer able to wear armor how will MDE/MA's survive in the bunker?

And when he goes through rebel cities? ![]()
Seriously, I appreciate your stance on factional perks but in that case shouldn't neutrals get perks for being unfactioned and thus could play bothsides as criminals opr whatever RP takes their fancy? I'm factioned myself but I feel this drive to "encourage" people
into the GCW is going a bit far, yeah there is a War going on but smuggling and criminality play a large role in the SW universe too. They don't have to get the same perks, I'm just saying their should be scope for everyone to have something.
Gift.
