Noob: Hey do you want to buy my factory?

Me: What kind of factory?

Noob: Clothing and armor factory.

Me (Thinks to myself): Hmmm....I already have two, I guess a third will be ok.

Me: Sure how much?

Noob: 15k

Me: Sure (I show him how to transfer structure to me, then Ipay the guy 30k for it)

Noob: Geez Thanks!!

Me: NP

(I look into his factory so that I can empty it and re-deed the thing next to my other factories. I open it and ithas a scattering of small quantities of really crappy resources that I remove and delete)

Ok, I didn't realize that I just created a little puppy dog that now sees me as his mentor!

A few days later (And after many many annoying /tell's )

Noob: Hey, do you make armor?

Me: Yes and no.

Noob: Can you make me some?

Me: That's where the no comes in.

Noob: y?

Me: Cause I just got Master and now I'm shopping for all the resources needed to start making good stuff.

Noob: What if I give you all my resources? (Remember what I destroyed from his factory)

Me: (Not sure if I ought to laugh or cry) Well....I need lots of special resources to make good armor.

Noob: What...like fiberplast?

Me: Logoff

I remember this so well because it happend last night LOL. Its not the only one that wanted something I dont make, I remember another a couple months ago (before CU) wanted to order a BE pet

Geez, if WS's have to deal with customers like that, then maybe I am being too hard on them on their forums, lol!

This isn't really a funny moment or anything, just a vent really. I spent four hours yesterday... four... HOURS talking to people. It wouldn't stop! Oh the agony! Four hours of talking to customers about everything from armor to pricing on resources,instead of mining for my ships

.And not like there was a 10-30 minute break anywhere. Oh no, every single time I was just about to finish up with one person, BAM "Hi you are an armorsmith yes?" God, someone please put a blaster to my brainstem and pull the trigger.

I love it when I get "Hey, are you an armorsmith?" while fighting a BH. Tells during a fight are BAD for me. LOL.

How about this one:

Guy comes into my shop

me: Hi there, anything I can help you with?

g1: Yeah I'm looking for a set of Ubese pants.

me: Sure I got those, just finished a run. I have them bundled in suits atm, but I can get one out for ya.

g1: Are they pretty good? I need high kinetic

me: Well I'd have to put some layers in it to give it better kinetic protection. 80k for the pants unlayered, 100k for layered

(at this point his friend comes in)

g2: Hey this is my friend, he's kinda new. So how much do you charge for a full suit?

me:400k.

g2:Well that doesn't make sense, how are the pants 80k? The MATH doesn't work out.

(I know what you're thinking, he totally caught me trying to scam him...)

me:Well, I charge based on the resources it took to make the things. Since pants take 2 cores I charge 20% of the cost of the full suit for them.

g2:Well I'm a TKM so I don't use armor, or know anything about making it.

me: Well that's my price, if you don't like it then you can find a better suit for cheaper elsewhere

g2: You know, people like you are what's wrong with this server's economy.

(at this point I explain to him the cost of the resources and how much time it takes me to make these suits)

g2: Fine. Then I'll go out and get you your hide at 5 cpu.

me: Great! I'd love that!

(buys a full suit for 400k for his friend)

*never did hear back about the hides though....

So, I personally am responsible for the horrid state of the economy. My bad.

i keep my tag OFF and i only make armor for guildies and friends atm, so no noob problems, no shop, i would probly sell on forums if i did, so i have no noob stories

One of my favorites is when people offer used armor to my vendor. hehe, Im an armorsmith i make and sell armor, i do not buy it. sheesh.

"if i give you the ingredients can you give me a discount on armor?"
me: sure, Ill do that, what are you looking for.
"I want a Ris suit"
me: sure, do you have all the ingredients you need for a full suit
"can you tell me what i would need?"
me: umm ok(i start to get a funny feeling about this, but i send him a list anyway)
"wow, thats a lot of stuff, do you have any extra GDKs"
me: I have a few, but thats the most hard to get ingredient and will affect your discount
"well how much?"
me: about 1 mil per gdk
"wow, thats alot, do you make composite too?"
me: yes :/
"what ingredients does that take?"
me: dude, go check out swgcraft, and see the ingredients needed, then get back to me.
"fine, if you dont want to make it ill go somewhere else"
