Here's one I thought was pretty mean. LOL

Dude: Can you make me some armor?

Me: Sure, what do you want?

Dude: The best of the best you can make.

Me: Umm, ok... what type? I'll give you a quote.

Dude: Battle.

(Me thinks *Ooooohhh, now let's have some fun...*)

Me: Ok, I can make yousome of the best armor on the server for50M.

Dude: Did you say 50 million or did you mean 50K?

Me: I meant 50 million.

Dude: Are you crazy?

Me: Hey,you asked for the best of the best. That's my price for the best I can make now. If you wanted "the absolutebest", It'll cost you 10M more. Either that, or you can bring me10 x30K resource deeds in exchange for a full set.

(A few minutes later...)

Me:If you wanted normal Unlayered stuff, I sell it for 300K a suit.

Dude: Umm, I think the normal stuff will do. I'm kinda broke now.

Me: OK, here's my WP.

Dude: Can I get a discount?

I didn't reply.

Gotta love+350 Health RIS!!!

The dude never came to buy the armor though... LOL

I like to use one of my favorite Norm (from cheers) quotes in these situations. The original quote goes something like this:

Woody: Can I pour you a beer Norm?

Norm: It's a little early isn't it?

Woody: For a beer?

Norm: No, for a stupid question.

just replace beer with armor, and you're all set

So at this point you're thinking, "GOD! Put an IQ test inas a prequisite for mutliplayer games!"

Me: See above.

And that keep going untill he finally gets that you won't buy it from him, and then he's all disspointed. Gee, I feel bad for him...

LOL you should of said you would buy if from him for 1 credit for the suit.

keep a suit of zero condition armor around for this one.

here is my situation Master AS/Master SW/ MAster WS the true nightmare

them:hello

me: hello

them: can you make me some Armor?

me: yes what kind?

them: RIS?

me: i can't right now due to not having done the RIS mission.

them: how about the best armor you can?

me: 20M for the best armo i can

them: 20M for ship armor

me: well you started off asking about player armor

them: i though RIS armor was a special ship armor

me : nope and ship armor the best is 100k

them: wooo that is high. how about for 25k?

me : i am a 12 point ship armor crafter and supplies are hard to get if you want the best 100k

them: ok i'll get with you later

pause for 30 minutes

them: my 25K best armor done

me: nope i said 100K

them: what about your best weapon

me : check you e-mail for a WP to my shop

them: you have no armor on you vendor

me: i know i have ship armor on there

them: i mean a 25k set of battle armor

haha, I've had to deal with this stuff daily... and laugh reading all these posts... being a WS/AS... its never boring... a few of my faves (for intrests of space and time m= me, c=customer)

"c: are you an armoursmith

m: yes

c: can you make me xxx?

m: sure,

c: what will be the stats if you use the good resources?

m: I'm sorry, I only make bad armour,

c: seriously? wow, you suck?

m: /addignore"

Assuming that I somehow dont always use the best of everything i have available to me for everything i craft is irritating. The other one that always gets me a great laugh is when someone places a custom order, i give them the prices, they say XXX can make better for cheaper, i tell them to get the stoff from them then... and a few hours later, the person is buying similar to their special order off my vendors.

Sure those all got covered above. but yeah, those are what make my days.

Heh - love these moments.

Customer: Hi do you make armor?

Me: Yes. (At this point, I'm fearing the next 5 minutes of conversation, and am possibly having a seizure as a result)

Customer: Do you have any free beginner sets sitting around that I could have?

Me: No, I typically only make advanced armor at this point. (I know what's coming next)

Customer: Oh ok, do you have any of those sets that I can have?

Me: Yes, on my vendor. (Email sent for WP)

Customer: LOL, I meant ones I can HAVE.

Me: I assume you're meaning "free?" (Here we go)

Customer: LOL yes.

Me: LOL no.

Customer: Well how about cheap sets?

Me: As I've said before, I only make advanced armor, making the beginner set takes time and resources I don't want to use for those purposes. (I smell an ignore)

Customer: Whats the cost?

Me: 140K per suit.

Customer: Thats too expensive to charge LOL!

Me: LOL! You are ignored. (/addignore)

I could fill this thread with stupid questions...hence why when I am out, picking up various things, I dont wear my tag, I make my character unsearchable, and put up my afk tag

on a sidenote, if you had your AS tag up before they changed it where you lost title when you lost skill, you can keep tag. I have MAS tag up with my main toon although he hasn't been a AS for almost a year. People always ask how I can be CL 80 and MAS

I love thoser threads(no i'm not a crafter) but please remember, CAN you make armor also means do you have time to do so (for special order) and for me it's a simple way to start the conversation, so, HOW shall we start a conversation with you?
