Stand next to an armor crafting station, that seems to help the success rate.

Just repaired a 80%kin 76%base comp helm with 94%repair tool. Was 28K/32K and it blew up ( 1/1 ).I am a master AS and this should not have happened...Are we ever going to get a repair bonus or are the devs going to continue sitting on each others thumbs and chewing tin foil while shaving each others armpits with electric razors held betwene there toes.

Lately I haven't been able to leave my shop without being *bothered* by1-3 noobs to havetheir armor repaired...
They ask because I have the 'Master Armorsmith' title. I wear the title to attract people who are looking to buy armor, not have it repaired. It is not worth 5 minutes of my time to meet you, trade, repair your armor, then have you tip me 5k credits for the job.
Can I legitimately tell these noobs to buzz off by saying that armorsmiths don't get any better chance than anyone else on repairs..? No where in the profession does it say anything about +Armor Repair.. unless you're wearing clothing sockted with armor repair skill tapes.
If it keeps up, I'm just going to attempt to repair their armor using critical failure 1.00 repair tools; I'll still ask for the 5k tip too.

A few Flurry armorsmiths that I know of (myself included) just carry a bunch of repair kits on us at all times. Whenever someone asks, I tell them I get no repair bonuses so I dont repair armor... but I can sell them some (insert % here) Armor Repair Kits, individual or crated, if they want.
Most people just buy the tools. I will get the stubborn one, occasionally. *shrug*

I tell them the same thing but I guess they like that 'security blanket' of a MAS to do it. Or just someone to blame if it fails. Although my guildees do tell me they get fails more often than I do, but it is not something you can experiment with. I try to avoid it all together, just sell ARKs on my vendor.

Does anyone have a definitive answer on the following questions...
1. What % should you repair your armor at?
2. Is it true that an armorsmith has the same chance as repairing armor as anyone else?
3. Whats the stats on a good quality armor reapair kit?
Thanks guys, I checked the armorsmith FAQ and couldn't really find an answer.

1. I usually do it when the resists of the armor begin to drop (should be at 40-50% condition left)
2. Not a clue. Though i seem to have less total fails than my guildmates (who are not AS of course)
3. Depends on your server's metals. On Chimaera, 99.8% quality is the best and easy to obtain.

Thanks man, I just hope I can get a question to 2. I can't seem to find any armorsmiths on my server lately :-(

on #2...
There is no skill that an armorsmith can look at and say "I have this much better chance of repair"...
There was supposed to be something added, but the testing I've heard about has been inconclusive.
So, to sum it up, we're supposed to have a better chance to repair, but we have yet to really see it in practice.

Since the Force Crafting Mastery tree has a Force Repair bonus does this mean we can all take our armor repair suits out of the closet?
