well it wouldn't be that great of armor like we have now....wookie armor with a base of 70% would be gay...i could understand a 20-40% resistance but anything higher would be unfair...sooner that u know we would been over ran by wookies...and toons would be deleted and replace with wookies..SHAT planet of the apes all over again
Do me a favor, play a **edit**ing wookiee and tell me if the **edit**ing ham bonus makes a bit of **edit**ing difference compaired to **edit**ing armor.
**edit** off.
This armor better not be as good as the armor "normal" species can wear, I'm talking it better be only half as good. God, that's supposed to be their weakness, Now they have HAM advantage and armor.

I would expect an more informant and factual post from a Community Veteran.
The facts have been stated before, so there is no need to repeat them. Go back and read them yourself.

Btw....I was wondering what stacker template was used the most by all the opposers to wookiee armor??
I'd have to say Arasett that him being Community Veteran doesn't have to mean anything. All it means is he managed to register before a certain day.
And his post count isn't indicative of anything either. It just shows he posts a lot.
But yes, all these people who claim the extra HAM is such a huge bonus making wookiees invincible have either never played a wookiee or only played one for a day, levelling up against nunas, lesser womp rats, rills, gorgs, and other oh-so terrifying creatures.
I've got a wookiee character and a human one. I've experienced the differences first hand through various levels of the game. How many of you nay sayers can say the same? I'd bet ZERO.
the nay-sayers must not have a brain either, why, well I will tell you why:
Armor has an encumberance right? *all shake their heads yes*![]()
This armor is going to be only usable by wookiees right? *all shake their heads yes*![]()
Making this wookiee only amor have a higher encumberance so that it negates out the extra HAM and puts wookiees on the same playing field as other players would be the easy and fair answer to this right?
*nay-sayers get a puzzled look, then look at each other, all goes quite, then slowly they start to nod ..........and understand*![]()

Now you can see that wookiee armor won't make us uber as there is always that encumberance cost of armor
AROBUS - SHADOWFIRE
Rifleman 4/0/0/3 – Commando 1/2/4/3
To be fair though, you'd have to consider unarmoured comparisons too. Putting us on equal footing in armour by increasing encumberances makes it flat for armoured/armoured comparisons, but take them both away and the wookiee will retain an edge. We know it's not much, but it is a fair point.
It would be easier if they just ganked the extra points and made wookiee armour potentially up there. I think the fact all of us would not feel it if they took our alleged bonuses should demonstrate how useless that bonus is.
why take our inherent bonuses? they only reason why people are complaining is because of armorvs armor comparisons. We have lived for a long time with non-armor vs non-armor comparisons and haven't complained once about it. This extra HAM is part of a wookiee's bonus, each species has their own bonuses. The people that are complaining are thinking that the wookiee only armor wouldn't have high enough of an encumberance as to even out stats (aka leaving us on the exact same ground as non-armor vs non-armor) and in pvp this may not seem fair to them. I think with a higher encumberance, we can still get those higher resistances, keep our ham bonus (not all wooks will want armor as not all of other species wear it too to be able to keep our inherent bonus) but for those of us that choice to put the armor on, it will encumber us to the exact % that we will be equal to that of other species. You following me on this.
Summary on my we dont need to lose HAM and we can still have good armor:
we have lived for a long time with: other species have less HAM than a wookiee while both are NOT wearing armor and nobody has complained
People that are complaining now think that if we have armor that bonus willcarry over (aka say both a human and wookiee had armor for the exact same stats and HAM encumberance, then of course that wookiee will still have those stat bonuses as in say the human has 400 health after putting on armor and the wookiee will have say 700, that 300 is a big difference and they dont like that, which is understandable)
Now with a higher encumberance on wookiee armor we can have the same resistances, and the HAM cost being greater on our armor will lower us down to that said 400 level making them equal and fair
That way as wookiees we can still have our HAM bonus when not wearing armor, but by choicing to wear armor, we are willling to take on that extra encumberance and while wearing the armor we are choicing to lower our HAM bonus to nothing.
That makes it fair to everybody. While wearing armor, we are on the same ground with other species, and while not wearing armor, we are able to have that extra HAM bonus

Jedi wearing full, heavy composite armor... Blasphemy.
I'm sorry, but whenever someone complains about how uncool it is for wookiees to wear armor, this is the first thing that pops into my head. I don't even necessarily have a problem with Jedi wearing heavy armor, but that seems about 10 times more outlandish than to me than a wookiee wearing a suit of armor.
Amen to armor! Maybe now I canactually enjoy PvP. ![]()

I would like to suggest that this be a Wookiee Schematic, like the Bowcaster, not an Armorsmith schematic.
If it is judged that this is a bad idea, and the schematic should simply be given to all Armorsmiths of appropriate skill, then I would ask why it is a good idea for the Bowcaster, but not for the Armor.
I guess when it comes right down to it, it isn't so important to me how it is handled, as much as it is important that it be handled in a consistent fashion.
