Well on the Chilastra, I amone of the few armorsmiths that makes wookiee armor. And you have to treat these as disposable. Like it says in the description, it is for ceromonial purposes. Its made out of wood. I amke about 53%K/ 22%b/ 22k con and sell for 30k on my vendor for my chestplate, and much, much cheaper for regular customers. Had one wookiee bring me 10k of woolly and leather and I made him crates of armor for him at 30k a suit. And if it is a non-wookiee armorsmith making it, yeah it seems to be much higher in price. Need to set up a regular arrangement with a armorsmith in your server because the cost to make this armor is not high.

in the stractics irc chat, they said the 2 versions of next gen wookiee armor would be comparable to ubese and comp

For a Wook's only armor right now, my price per suit has held solid since Publish, and as there are only 2 or 3 smiths that can match it on Starsider, Wooks are buying it up, passing over the stuff with half the stats for half the price.
You wanna gripe aboutprofit marginon something that's almost as good as Ubese but is half the price? Puh-leeze...
Anyway the price of Kashyyykian is going to drop sharply across all the servers when the new armors roll out.
But like I've said elsewhere: If I charge $5 for a burger, and you make the same burger for $3, and I outsell you 5 to 1, do I really have to lower my prices to compete with you, or should you raise your profit margin on what you *do* sell?

Lets just hope we get some good stuff So we can match the compo crew, I know a few armorsmiths on infinity, but none bother making the wookiee armor because its so poor, at least if we get some good stuff armorsmiths will at least stock it and we will be able to shop around and get a good price, with the current armor i have to ask for it to be made, then i was just loosing money by wearing it so stopped wearing it, and gone back to low lvl hunting, unless i'm teamed up with a few other players in there good armor.
I agree with the strings that say SWG is getting all about compo and buffs, but come on, why should it be just wookies who suffer, we need to equil everyone else to have any chance at PvP battling.

I specialize in wookie armor on the Kauri Server. My armor is around 46-50% kinetic, and costs 20k for chest, 15k for arms. With my armor, I can get through 6 full hours of hunting on endor before needing repair. I agree that 6 hours isn't much, but that's why I don't sell armor for expensive. I don't make a huge profit, but oh well.

Look, the fact is, you're all bitching about a broken system. Shut the eff up. All of you. Everything in this game is unbalanced. I figure oncee thecombat rebalanceACTUALLY TAKES PLACE, wookiee armor will naturally have higher hams. Chances are, most Wookiee's won't even be wearing armor. ESPECIALLY not if the armor makes us look like a Bull in heat.

Oh, and I'd like to point out 1 other thing - We can't wear indestructable undershirts with AP1, and, unlike everyone else, wookiee's haven't been able to wear ANY sort of armor for 4/5ths of this game's lifespan. You can deal with Wookiees being stronger than you for 2 months until the CR hits. And if you can't deal with an unbalanced system, then I ask you, why are on earth are you playing SWG?! Seriously. This is the most unbalanced MMORPG on the market.

On my server, almost all pieces go for 30k or higher. Very very few sell it at 20k, and so far I have not had any complaints, and plenty of service

On Gorath I make 60% kinetic wookie armor and sell it for 80k per suit. Making the armor isn't hard if yu can make your own padding. Because of how hard it is to make (see hide and padding requirements) the % markup is low compared to time needed to make it. I cannot make my own padding and that is a pain.
I see 80k as break even. It would be alot easier to NOT sell it and crank my 200k ubese or 350-400k composite.

60%??? You're my hero. Must have had a good shift of Yavin leather for that. I'm still keeping an eye out for such a shift on Starisder. I fell into a couple old shifts and could maybe push my 54 up another point.

Do we have the slightest clue as to when this will actually ship?
As to those that think wookies will be overpowered with real composite like armor, I say... Maybe you should
make a wookie and try pvp before comenting. We get 200 more points than others. 200 pts is one shot in pvp.
One shot has rarely if ever decided any pvp match I've ever paticipated in orheardabout that didn't exist in someones imagination.
In "balanced pvp (both participants have the same skill (real and in game)and the same buffs)" most wookies die while our composite wearing attackers still have over 2/3 of they're health if not full health. These are facts under the current system, if you don't buy it... try it... it's very reproduceable.
If you don't want to make a wookie to try this. Try pvping in ubese against someone in composite. Just remember ubese still gives better protection than most cermonial bamboo armor.
