I just stumbled across a vendor that sells relatively cheap Krayt scales.

Was just wondering before I go nuts and buy them all, do the scales create the composite i see that has all its stats listed under "Special Protection?"

If so i'll pass, thanks

(there are some scales with up to 14% resists)

Yes, it does. Scales are best used in either Ubese armor or Wookiee armor imho. Mainlly because their strongest seslling point kinetic resist is already a special protection and the bases are so low that eff slices don't help them that much.

The way I read the amor change coming up. I think Krayt dragon scales will become more useful as it will add to the base resist of the armor. Currently if you use scales they limit your max resist to 80% because it puts everything into special. I would save the scales until CU.

Don't scrap em yet V

From the "Armorsmiths I have answers for you" thread:

1) Every pre-CU enhancer we had now shows as +0 health benefit. EVERYTHING. This I hope, can be rectified, as many of us have large stores of these we'd been saving. Also, when pulling stuff from crates, it seems either a) the stats shown on the crate are halved, or b) have no stats or certs at all.

Avi looked at all the enhancers and says the stats are there just the examine script isnt reading them, correctly. This should be fixed soon. He also fixed the PSGs coming out of crates as well just needs to run the fix.

That's what I get for not reading the forums properly.

you can place 1 scale into each crafted Segment. 3 segments = 1 core. 11 cores equal a full set of armor. so 33 * 15 = 495 health points.

Note, you will need a few extra to make factory runs (required) for cores

BTW. +15 is as high as it goes so hold onto those.

Are you sure? Someone else said the bonus stacks within a core but does not stack within a piece. So you would have +45 * 7.

I have not tried this so what Ive read is what I am going on. Would be a shame due to the fact that to get +15 on chest Legs and Head you would need to burn 4 extra pieces that do nothing. Even so +300 is a nice advantage in a close fight.

I will probably be making my personal PVP suit this week and it will have NS Layers in it that are +15.

Bonuses in the cores do not stack. its 11 x 15 (or whatever the value on scales).
