I also think using krayt scales in bone armor is generally underrated... AR1 to everything but stun with hardly any enc. Unfortunately, with the insane prices everyone wants for scales, it's usually not economically feasible to put them in bone.

To get krayt scales, do they show up under the loot menu? or are show up under the harvest menu? killed quite a few lately and not seen any.

What's the going price for Krayt scales in comp? I've recently got a bunch I'm gonna have my armorsmith put into some armor for me, some I'll keep for my comp (when I finally get there), and the rest I'll sell.
So, what's the consensus for the going rate for Krayt Scales?

Please ignore. I am no longer getting the scales. Oh, and it was for mabari, not comp. I was gonna use them in my mabari I am crafting (novice armorsmith).

Depending on quality anywere from 3k per scale to 40k per scale -- average is around 10k for ok stats -- on my server that is

I came across a backpack on the bazaar yesterday containing 20 Krayt scales - for the total sum of 1 credit
What armor types can make use of these scales?
Are they worth using? (stats were all identical 4%)

They go in the segment enhancement slot of armor segments. For 1 credit for 20.......................I'd buy em.

Scales/Segments for armor, tissues for weapons.
