Ok before everyone makes fun of me and everything like that, I am new at this whole armorsmithing thing, well not quite an armorsmith yet, but anyways. I was wondering what it takes to make Padded Armor and what special things can go in it like segments and stuff. Because I am an apsiring TK and just want to wear armor and I like the look of Padded Armor and would like to specialize in it. Thanks for any help you can give.

Well, just go to a site that has all the schematics to get the ingredients required, such as http://swg.allakhazam.com/db/abilities.html?mode=Schematic.
My opinion on Padded is that when made heavy it's too heavy to compete with Composite and when made light it's not light enough to compete with lighter armor like Mabari. Looks cool though.

I actually have made a lot of padded armor and do sell it on a regular basis to a wide variety of customers. Everyone from PVP's to big PVE's to people just wanting it for the looks. I have used Rancor Hide and Kryat Dragon Scales with it. I have spent some time getting some higher kinetic resistance padded made. My latest stuff still with good quality, not high quality, resources is hitting the 64% kinetic resistance. I have a lot of customers that actuall go for the combo of composite chest plate and composite helmet with the rest of their armor being padded. Some big PVP's love this combo.
Well anyways it is fun armor in my opinion. Although I still turn to my composite when I know I am going for heavy combat.

Padded is about as worthwile to make as Chitin...
Wooley hide is required to make not only the actual armor, but also the friggin Padded Armor Segment as well. I'm sorry, but I have better (more profitable) armors to use my valuable wooley hides on.

Given the popularity of the t21, if it were changed to blast damage, wouldnt that revitalize the padded armor interest?
when was the last time you saw someone wearing padded armor?
Publish 7: Attack of the Compclones

Hi all
I know most of you do not make padded armor because of the region spec resources are a pain but I ve been lucky with spawns on Tarq & have fairly good resources for each part...
What is considered a good set of padded? Currently i can make 67% Kinect 43% Base using 2x 12% kin layers, if this good?
Also do any of you notice that more crit fails oocur with padded?
Thanx

hi all, i recently started messing around with a tailor toon on another server. i was wondering if it would be possible to make padded armor and have access to the full color palate with just 4000 AS. padded armor is great looking when mixed and matched with reg clothing. realize that i dont intend to make uber super resist stuff. just a few pieces here and there for style. id like to eventually add it in to my clothing catalog if possible.
