I would not suggest signing this. RIS is the holy grail, the epic weapon, the treasure for armorsmiths. Its the one thing that we can work hard to obtain. Currently, this game has no massive quest or end quest as other mmorpg's have for a profession. RIS should remain what it is, rare and extremely difficult to make. Being a master armorsmith, i know that once you get composite with a stun layer and high s tats, thats it - theres nothing else to persue. This gives us a goal.

Keep this armor a pain to make, and keep drop rates as they are. RIS should be a pride thing, not so much an everyday armor.

Yep...keep it hard toget.

It should have better stats though. Zero vulns and not to difficult to get 80%+ base and special. With low encumbrance.

As said earlier....make it worth the effort. Kind of like getting good grades in school. Don't lower the requirements just to help the ones not doing the work. It makes acheiving the goal less worthwhile.

good luck there oba, i feel your pain, 23 gdk's and not a scale, i remember after i had 23 kills each time after im like, ok it HAS to drop this time, no drop, OH Another one lets kill it, no drop, over and over 80 times. One Time for 2 days straight, me and 5 friends between the 10 characters we all have signed on at once, Camped Lok for 48 hours straight and paid rangers to find us any and all giant dune kimo's, paid them 100k each one found. in the 48 hours we killed something like 12-14, probably killed them all throughout those hours, not a single drop. we stumbled across one hunting party that waskilling onein that time period and lended a hand, they got nothing either. Ok, Difficult Quest, i agree, kimo's are difficult enough thats fine, but no drop in two days? not one, thats messed up. On ahazi ive maybe seen 10-15 PIECES of RIS armor and maybe i know of a handful of armorsmiths that even have the ability to make it due to the GDK scale. really burns me, im ALL for epic quests and having a Holy Grail of Armor. BUT CMON! thousands upon thousands of players and this is what we end up with!

I'm am real sick and tired of people screaming about leaving the loot drops as it. I respect the fact that they want rare armor but this is just insane! What good is having uber rare armor in game when you dont have a chance in hell of obtaining it? I mean, we have more jedi then we do ris helmets and thats just redicoulas.

Also conserning rarity....I dont give a flyin fudge how many people have the same crap as i do, as long as i have it, i'm fine.

You Forgot about the rifleman's SG82 rifle. It does cold damage.

keep it rare, took me forvever to get my pants and I lovebeing one of the few ppl walking around with them. in fact i have never see anyone else with RIS pants on my server, but I know someone has them ^_^

Can i get a little help on the general areas to find the Albatross I've been up and down the beach between Theed and Kadaara a hundred times and along the ridge/dropoff even more times. Tried W of Keren, N of the lake a bunch of times, and SW of the lake retreat a lot, too. I have never even seen one

Hire a ranger. Problem solved.

Rare is one thing. Tempest is the only server with a reported full suit of armor. That is Banthaspit

I'm with you Kadin. I have yet to see one also. Let alone kill it and get a feather. I've seen tons of Pekos and Giant Pekos. It was great when the avian spawn was good. I made a few Docs very happy.

For the rest.....A guildmate just gave me a GDK scale. He has another too. He claims the first one he killed dropped it. Lucky bastid..... Asked him why he did it. Replied "Dunno...just wanted something different to do." As you may guess, he gets free armor (and anything else) for life.

BTW, why are you guys bothering with the peko feathers? NS layers are much better for the armor than RIS layers.

You're required to make a layer in the quest. It's my understanding that it requires a feather.

Please correct me, if I'm wrong.
