Thread: Wow never realized how much devs love you guys

boba you have a major case of missing the point
first off to craft GOOD armour u need a lot of knowledge. high quality resources. time and patience. people become crafters but cant hack it because they find it boring. i dont, i like numbers. i highly enjoy the business side of things.
you are obviously a combat man.
i agree that there should be more combat loot. non craftable guns for example. it would be nice. there is loot that without the schematics are worthless. kyrat stuff for example. and highly desirable loot. nightsister shards for example. ( i dropped 400k for s et of HQ ones)
i have only pistols 4 to protect myself from the mobs out there. i dont mind combat but i prefer crafting.
the devs dont love us. in fact quite the reverse. the hate us. look at PSG's and RIS armour 1 whole armour tree and a new type of armour that dont work.
I must admit that was the most 1 stars I saw in one thread
lol
I am 100% new to armorsmithing. I mean I am only at 0001 right now.
There is NO way in hell that any REAL crafter could just be sitting around waiting for the cash to just come rolling in BOBA.
I also have an alt that is a total combat character, so I do understand that getting this stuff, loot, resources or whatever is very time consuming and very difficult at times...
I get the impression that Boba thinks that crafting is simply putting things in the tool and out pops the finished product.
Let me assure you, this is not the case. There are several factors that go into the item crafted:
1 - Resource quality. It takes quite a bit of time to collect high quality resources to make a high quality product. Not to mention boosting the product with nice looted items. Have you tried keeping track of 50+ different resources and trying to determine if the new one is better than the one you have? Or spent any game time surveyng for resources and maintaining harvesters?
2- Experimenting and wasting some of those resources to see what the possibilites are. For armor, there are 3 different things that can be experimented on. Each changes a different attribute of the finished product. I average 3-4 sets of gloves for each different combination of natural resources. This can potentially mean 5 different combines using different resources...just to see how a pair of gloves will turn out. Mulitply that by the number of items I want to test.
3- Research and comparing notes with other crafters to avoid wasting the above mentioned resources/ loot drops. (This may seem redundant, but you'd have to try it to see what I mean..ie. failures.)
4 - Looking high and low for someone selling loot/resources to use.
5 - And finally. Keeping records of all of the above so you don't have to repeat it just because you forgot how the last one turned out.
BTW - I've been soloing Kimos for a few days now. I completely understand about armor/weapon decay, looking for buffs and searching for the animals. And guess what....I have to give my scythe/Tenloss rifle/Geonosian blaster/swordcoreschematic to a weaponsmith. My Painting schematic to an Archetect. My apron and exquisite leotard schematic to a tailor. Along with...power cubes, heavy leather, spider venom, Ackley bones...etc.

and i dont care what you think either...
I wonder how the smiths on Gorath feel about your views Lance.
Do they continue to sell you armor or weapons?
This guy sells his loot for millions (look up his posts), complains that crafters charge millions (notice a loop here?) and complains everywhere (pets, armor, droids).
Been a while since I've seen someone that so univerally needs to be /ignored. With all of his issues with this product, IMO I think he would be happier doing something else.
