This is good news for us. You won't be able to face a Jedi without good energy resistant armor.

My alt "bo-tang" is a 12pt armorsmith based in Lost City, Lok. (gorath)
I'll try and go through all my armorsmith stuff and post as much as possible today.
We should have a list of available armorsmiths so we can coordinate things if needed.

wouldn't worry about it too much...the one thing this tells me is that since the armor is going to convert type, I can keep manufacturing at my current rate and keep stocking at my current rate...just keep the customers in the loop that even if they aren't certified for it in the future, you'll be able to convert it to a different type. I still believe this armor is going to be better than any you can craft until we're caught up on resources.

Today TC wouldn't let me add friends, set up chat channels and when I tried /bug there was a message the game couldn't reach customer service. Hard to get anything going there right now.
Anyway I made some comparisons, pre and post CU-conversion. New, unsliced helmets below.

If you respec the composite to another armor type, does it keep the same special protection? Ie isrespecedpre-cu comp into padded better than converted pre-cu padded?

What I know you don't respec armor, it's converted automatically. Compo will still be compo. Padded will still be padded etc.

I've made this thread for those AS who play on Bria and Gorath and can login to the 2 TC Conversion servers. Could you please let us know how stuff is converting, loot wise AND armor-wise, pre and post? I.e. Nightsister Armor Shard: -10 health enc, -10 action enc, -10 mind enc -> (insert post conversion stats), or "Composite Armor Helmet, 80% Electric, 71% base -> (whatever is converted). I'd like to see if we can get a trend going and crunch some numbers to come up with estimates.
Please let me know if I forget any enhancers off my list.
Loot commonly used now:
**EDIT**: Apparently none of these enhancers have converted stats. I suggest reporting it in the bug threads.

Firstly, a quick explanation of the "Refit" option (has been referred to as "Respec" also, but Refit is the word that is used in-game).
With any pre-CU armour that you have, there is a one-time option to "refit" it. This allows you to convert the armour to your preferred type (Recon, Battle, Assault). You will be forced to choose a corresponding 'skin', so for instance converting composite to 'Battle' means you have to choose the Padded or Bone skin. You have no control over the colour of the armour.
The only affect this 'refit' has on the stats of the armour is to move the +/- 1000 bonuses around. If your composite has a 'base' value of 4400, say, then its Kinetic will be 5400, and Energy will be 3400. Converting to Battle sets all values to 4400, converting to Recon will swap the Kin and Energy resists.
Now, a couple of stat conversions from my own armour:
80% Elec / 70% Base converts to a base resist of 4432
Sliced up to 80% Elec / 90% Base, it converts to a base resist of 5160.
I'm pretty sure (but not 100% sure) that it converts to UNSLICED armour, so you can slice it again - I assume that's a bug, though.
In any case, my newly-crafted Rebel Battle armour has unsliced resists of5806, so I don't think there'll be a mad rush for pre-sliced pre-CU armour
There also seems to be an issue with slicing - obviously, you can only get eff. slices, but my word they're crappy! Best slice I've hit was 7% - I've no idea if this is intentional or not.
TC just went down, so I can't get back in to get some of my other conversions, but it looks to me like they are doing a simple conversion of the base resists, with ZERO attention paid to layers or encumberance. I have a bunch of enc-sliced armour at my shop, so when I can get at it, I'll check, but I bet it's no different to the unsliced version of that armour

Can someone ewith a Modded Mabari belt do us a favor and try to refit it and see what happens to mods? I know that's a big deal to combat types.
