I've checked quite a few comp pieces now, and it looks like it doesn't matter what layers or stuff it had, all armor is somehow summed up to a number and then is converted to the base stats for that number. The trick now is figuring out how it calculates that number. I think it is some percentage of how good the armor is compared to how good it possibly can be, but I haven't seen any armor other than comp and ubese so I can't say for sure.

i'm looking for my ubese crates now. it would seem that every single loot item for armor is blank now and they also do not stack like they are supposed to. the only loot items i have that are not blank are WS loot items which are exactly the same stats they were before.
funny part though is a rancor tooh actually looks like a tooth now.....
i know it's not funny at ALL
This is neat though, my prenerf republic has a higher damage listing then a t21 and my grinding laser rifles have 1.5 times the DPS

This conversion is sooo bugged. At least armor seems to be converted, even if into unlayered form. Armor in crates show double resistances for some reason. All gloves/boots get converted to 0 everything, but that was expected.
I've checked chitin, mabari and bone armor now and they are also converted to unlayered equivalents of their new class; although how good compared to comp/ubese I can't say since I don't know the pre-CU stats. Since they most likely were crappy they now have crappy stats too.

well the point is that "what is good before the CU will be good after the CU" is wrong. If kinetic and energy layers dont cary over to the equivelant of a priums layer then there is no use converting it. % for % what i'm seeing on even my good stuff is thie conversion is worthless.

tired of looking thru packs, i'll go find a vendor with some and buy it. i'm on my way to see if the mando is still on display and see how it converted.

Alert. You can repec your armor...........just worked my way through 2 sets of RIS. Tested this on composite, you can change composite into any type of armor you desire.
I tested this with composite with a skill attachment in it. The skill attachement vanishes.
tested and composite will become any non specialty armor.

hold it down like you were to slice it and the menu comes up
and no it does the base % like it has been doing them jumps the specials to the +/-
and you cant change the color back once you do it!

Well, my conclusion (and only mine) is that unless someone screwed up on how this stuff is meant to convert save your resources and wait till after the CU to get armor made. Say goodbye to attachments unless you have them in a 90 base suit (i havent seen one yet to see how they converted). mini suits are history too.
the mando isnt on display either so i'll have to find out tomorrow on that one.
