If you master any elite combat profession, you will negate all hinderance (Or very close to all)as long as it is unsliced. Slices raise hinderances quite significally as I understand it (Haven't seen it first hand yet).
Actually, the hindrance on sliced armor is still fairly negligible. After slicing a suit of 5953 Battle Armor with a base hindrance of 39.7%, my unmitigated hindrance was only around 2.5%. I would imagine that for Reconnaissance, you'd have a greater penalty to rate of fire, and you'd have a greater penalty to movement for Assault.
Hinderance seems to be linked directly to protection, you get a certain amount of hinderance for a certain amount of protection. If you slice armor the stats are going to go up (per my own experience, abiet limited, and the armor info at the top of this thread) and so will the hinderance. I had a piece of assult armor sliced (5000 kinetic protection) that started with a 38% hinderance to movement (I forget what the other two were) that after slicing was 45% hinderance (and 5600 kinetic protection).
Great guide! But I have an unusual armor question, and anyone who has seen me wearing armor will know why it's unusual
.
You see, I like to wear a "mish-mash" of armor--a mabari helmet, a composite chestplate, bone armor leggings. What I want to know is if it is now necessary to wear a single armor type in order to benefit from its defenses. Is it alright for me to mix and match armor, or am I just hurting myself?
Thanks for the work you put into this... it is much appreciated.
I have a question about the color customization of the armor.
How does it work now, for the Armor Smith? Still the same (At the end of crafting it)?
Is it possible to recolor/change the color of existing armor?
I really hope they add a tool kit that can be used to re-color armor.
If a player converts existing armor into another type (From an old uncerted type to one that they are now certed for) Is there any color option? Is there any way to get that new armor to be the color that you want it to be?
(That last one falls a bit out of common AS knowledge, but I figured I'd ask)
Thanks again!
May the force be with you.

What kind of hides are needed and what stats do you look for? I am a Master Ranger and would like to know what to look for, as SWGcraft.com is not updated Post-CURB.
Ehor
ok guys a couple questions
About these health bonuses, if i want these on say primus layered rebel assault armor, how much wouldI pay, and do the health bonuses reduce protection?
also, what would an armorsmith on chilastra be willing to pay for good hide? im for hire...

The named resources we need are:
Naboo Bristley
Lokian Leather
Dantooine Wooly
High OQ/SR is needed in those hides.
The unnamed hides are of all types. Scaley, wooly, leather and bristley. These unnamed hides are best with high OQ/SR/DR.
Thanks! One more small question. What are the % of the stats for experimenting? i.e. OQ/SR/DR = 50/30/20.... Just as an example so I know which is more important to focus on. Some hides on Kett at the moment are OQ/SR/DR 947/822/645 for Endor Bristley and 871/977/773 for Talus Scaley.
i would like more info on this as well
