I'd like to know what your stats are then, cause im looking into getting a full set of composite, and would like to see a way around spending 5-6k for buffs every 3 hours
I don't have the exact stats right now. I'll try to remember to post the exact numbers later tonight. I am posting this publicly because a couple of weeks ago when I started this journey I was looking for help on these boards and got some general advice but not exact numbers. It may help someone else. Also, someone else may have advice for a better way to do the stats. They are something like:
Health: 800
Strengh: 500
Constitution: Customized close to minimum needed for my armor
Action: 800
Quickness: 450 (max for race)
Stamina: 400 (or slightly lower, customized to armor)
Mind: 850
Focus: 450?
Willpower: 700
This is the closest I can remember. And it may be wrong. I am certain on the bold items. I am really uncertain where I left my Focus at. I just can't remember. My Strenght may be closer to around 400 or 450.
Like I said. I'll post detailed info later.
FYI, I was initially an Artisan, used default artisan stats and it took about 5-7 days to migrate over to my current. I didn't know the exact armor specs so I migrated it close and then adjusted once I got my armor.
Comments MORE than welcome but please remember the limitations of my Zabrak race.
im about to be a new BH. what is good armor to have, and does anybody know of a master armor smith with great prices on starsider.
P.S im a zabrak

A lot of people go on about Mandolorian armor, but it's occurred to me that one of the things that is missing from this game in glaring fashion is armor certifications. I watch the SW movies and basically no one wears armor except Stormtroopers and Bounty Hunters (unless you count the bicycle helmets on the Rebel troopers). Now, in fairness and practicality, it wouldn't be the best of ideas to limit armor usage only to those in the BH line or with Imperial faction points up the wazoo, but why should a doctor be able to wear the same armor I do as a BH?
Mandalorian armor aside, I think there should be some class-specific armor certifications just as there are for weapons. For instance maybe Pistoleers get a special light HAM armor with good effectiveness vs energy, or Bounty Hunters gain access to a cert for medium AP armor with insane resists as a benefit of spending the time to really work the profession. Doctor armor could be tailored with lower mind cost... the point is that maybe there would be 5 or 6 new syles of armor available, most available to only a particular class, and there would be fewer combat medics decked out in 2000% composite chucking poison at my head that kills me in 5 seconds while my armor can't do a thing to protect me against. Part of this is obviously to add a little more variety to the game (and I think that alone is reason enough to add more armor types), but also to add additional perks to those in advanced professions. It just seems silly to me that a non combat newbie character can wear the same armor a master BH can.
So be it Mandalorian or whatever, I really think there should be certifications on the diff types of armor at the newbie ranks, and specialized armor at the advanced professions. Anyone else agree, or has this been gone over in the past and I missed it? Hell, maybe access to cool specialized armor would help cut down on the holo grinders blowing through professions at a rate of 2 a day with macros, once they find some class-specific items they'd like to keep the cert for.

I use ris helm/pants.
A composite chest 80% 150 23 24 ham, made out of 22% ns shards.
Padded boots and padded arms both around 50%
My ris is 90 and 80%, but some vulns i hope will be fixed.
Also this whole suit has verry low ham, havent totaled it yet, but somthing around 300 300 300.
Now i have armor to back up my words, now all i need is a gun and some defences =P

ok, this is the BH armor. the helmet just has to go. and probably the shoulder pads too. they are way to big and bulky. but god, get rid of the helmet.
Ya I would love certs on armor. I hate the fact that i could go buy credits on ebay and then have a full set of comp armor as a newbie. when i have been playing for year or so and finally stepped up bought some nice comp armor. It would be nice to know that my hard work is appreciated since i would refused to buy credits on ebay or another source.

looks like tht armor fell out f the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, and how do you know that is "BH armor"? aaannny who here is my take on this whole matter
Armor, espicially for BH, should have certs without any doubt. but in BH case i think if you want "mandolorian" or some other uber armor you should be MBH and it should involve a sequence of quests, where you get the parts and what have yyou and get a armorsmith to craft it for you. just a general idea
