Thread: BH ARMOR
we should have our own armor. plain and simple. and the bracers need weapons or gadgets or something ok. flamtherowers. poison darts. ripcords to tie people up. whatever. or maybe just the bracers with weapons and not a whole armor set.
now we know everyone wants mandalorian armor, but it will 'blah blah mess up continuity if everyone has it' but everyone has Ubese armor. that was only in the saga in one instance. whats the difference if we have mandalorian armor. talk about continuity .. players running around in TUSKEN attire ...what the hell is that.
i say give us mando armor or remove tusken and ubese. even the old bh trainer in mos eisley ... was a **edit** rodian with ubese armor... and theres multiple IG-88s in the game.. in the continuity there was only 1 to 4 of those... a few... i forget the exact number. lets get crackin. WEPPS THIS IS YOUR MISSION k GO!
Hate to tell ya this, but Ubese was very common, and Tusken items were also very common. Give them time, they will introduce new armors and new weapons, and all kinds of new content for Bounty Hunters. You have plenty to do now with out running imposible missions to get armor that doesn't exist yet.
Get a full suit of RIS, unlock your FSCS and re-master BH, run the Krayt Skull missions, I bet most on this board haven't even aquired a Nym Slug Thrower yet.
well in all that i read of the continuity i never knew ubese was common so your post is appreciated.
but on a side note.. whos to say mando armor was rare. we only say the fetts with it yes. but in terms of the galaxy we only see a very TINY amount of it in the movies. theres so much more, there could be others with ancient mando armor. jodo kast had it too right. and in the new comics based off jango he has a whole squad of mando buddies with the armor and that only took place less than 50 years prior to the time period in swg.
its arguable..and it goes both ways yes. /tips hat
Actually Mandalorian Armor was very rare, in the book "The Mandalorian Armor" in the Bounty Hunter Wars series, the Emperor refers to it as Technology. He alludes to Vader implementing some variation of Mandalorian Armor on himself, Boba Fett using an ancient implementation of Mandalorian Armor. So what I propose is that a very VERY rare armor segment be dropped or ran via missions, it could then be used in creating composite, or RIS, or even bone armor, and have force-blocking capabilities, which is the only reason I want some of it.
Maybe even allowing a long LONG, very arduous mission to be ran so that a BH could posess some of the "technology" and trade the schematics/information to a Armorsmith for one time use. And the BH retains this technology, and can only use it once every 2-3 months, or even more. Something to keep it very rare.
yes something that is that rare would add great depth and give BH something to strive for.
lets face it. investigation is not a fun grind. give us one we can enjoy.
Actually Mabari armor was worn by a BH in Episode II. It's actually not bad armor for how cheap it is ( to me it's basically disposable ).
Not that anyone besides me wears it or even cares lol.
Well if you are like me a Za'brak you can't wear a full set of Composite with out being fully buffed or eating food and spices so I would like to see some armor that has a little better resists then Ubese. Mando would be nice to see.

Make mandalorian armor parts buyable with Inv. experience points once you hit master.
That way it keeps the MBHs involved, and it will slowly trickle in for those who REALLY REALLY want it.

Actually, I'm a Zabrak and you can.
At first I couldn't. But I migrated my stats around and now I can wear some sliced composite with no buffs. I'm not in too bad a shape either.
The hurdle you have to get over is minimizing your secondary mind pool stats. That's what I had to get over. I kept wanting to take advantage of being able to have high secondary mind stats. But, you have to give that up and minimize them for your race in order to get the numbers to wear it. So, basically, I setup my stats as if I was a human, but I had the addtional disadvantage of low maximums for secondary action stats.
I also went with the theory of minimizing the replentish speed stat for each pool to the minimum needed to wear the armor and maximizing the other secondary pool (which wasn't hard since the maximum ceilings are so low). When I need to replentish I macro off the armor.
Also, it was a MUST to get the armor sliced. I got lucky and most of mine ended up being encomberence(sp) sliced which is what I needed.
700-750 for HAM
500-550 for secondaries. Get encumbrance slices and you're OK.
Sucks to have such short ham bars but you've got to get the points somewhere.
