oh and on that Star Warsyness BS excuse, when was the last time you watched a Star Wars movie and saw every person runnning around in full suits of Comp Armor shouting to get buffed? or seen bout 200 people outside a starport shouting how they need training or their shope is at #### #### and you should go by and check it out?? Stop hating the wookiee, like CPO said, "Let the Wookiee Win".

any first grader can do the math to tell you that ABSOLUTELY NOTHING would be "side effected" by giving wookiees the exact same armor as humans and making it cost a compensatory ham amount (apparently 13% more, according to most on these boards)

the rest of this crap is just as much smokescreen as they can muster to try to keep their huge advantage over wookiees

to wit:

non wookiee + armor = wookiee + (armor + 700 encumbrance)

now they wanna call this unfair because "then the wookiees can take off the armor and have a ham advantage"

but they didnt care about that already-present ham advantage when they could put on their armor and laugh at it, did they?

no, they didnt.

and, as has been posted already, it isnt that much of an advantage

everybody says 90% resists are impossible to get...fine

just for the sake of argument about this stupid ham edge, lets assume armor is capped at 60% (lol) resists...

now one of you heavy math dudes PLEASE tell me how much ham a wookiee toon would have to have to stand toe-to-toe w/ an armored foe (assume hits apply equally across the three bars and there are no misses and dmg is constant)

come on, gimme results for pve (straight up) and pvp (75% reduction) and tell me how much it is...

I'll bet my wookiee hide it comes to a little more than 700 freakin points (and that would be assuming that wookiees didnt have low mind caps and that mind wasnt the determining factor in almost every pvp encounter)

show me the math that equates 700 points of ham to 60% resist armor (we wont even talk about AR1) and I wont post another word for 2 weeks

As far as I am aware no dev ever came out and stomped on the situation. It was admitted a long time ago that it needed work. They're guilty of being slow to act, but never ignoring the balance issue.

It's different when players of the game who ignore it, take advantage of it, laugh at the wookiees, that suddenly turn around and try to act like they are the Hand of Justice. Plenty of non wookiees supported the idea of wookiee armour, and kudos to them. Those people who have been trying to keep status quo as it was before, now crying out about imbalance, just smacks of two facedness.

I'm all for balance. All we've ever asked for is a fair deal. It's just funny to see suddenly how many people 'care' about balance, when before they didn't give a darn.

So I am afraid I never implied the devs opinions are 'invalid'. People who ignore balance as long as it was not against them, then attempt to be judicial, they are the ones I'd call out.

btw personally I wouldnt mind one bit if they dropped the laughable wookiee-ham and gave us the same access to armor

although I would definitely rather have a REAL (70% AR1 equivalent)ham advantage and forget about wearing the armor at all (but I dont imagine that would please the trolls, either)

Firstly let me start of by saying HELL YEAH!!

The way i see it, wookiee armour is the missing link in combat balance. Humans have no stat bonuses but they can wear full suits of armour. Trandoshans have a slight HAM increase and pay for this by not having gloves or boots to wear.

Now ive not seen or read anything about this wookiee armour but its safe to assume that since we have the highest HAM bonus then we will have very few pieces of armour to wear, maybe 3 or 4 sections (similar to clothing)in comparison to a humans suit of 9. If this is the case then armour wont need high encumberance andwookiees wont need a HAM bonus nerf. If we had like 1000 more health than the other species then id be sceptical about the need for armour, but the fact of the matter is we dont have a HAM like this. Im not denying we have an advantage but it isnt a big enough one to decide battles like some of you..im sorry to say..Imps are suggesting. We need this armour badly.

For all the whiners that think our bonus even comes close to compensating for armour, even something as weak as 50% composite, then you have obviously never played a wookiee character for any great length of time. They are all locked up in health and strength due to the high caps, we cant just stick them all in mind and the then buff the health and action bars like you.

PS - mentioning buffs isnt really a fair statement by anyone, all species can buff making everybody equal on this front.

I dont know anyone one you has said the bonuses do.............

However u read the same thing everyone else did, when u picked your toon. giving in to the wookies is a mistake,

Wookie armour better not to as good as comp, or if it is it should be as hard to make as RIS with major hunt and gathering to produce.

Complaining about the race YOU chose if stupid,

Wookies do have benifts. seems to me they just want the +s and not the -s

Any other game you pick a race that suits what u want to be.

/castvote Wookies should burn more and for longer than other classes on a flame attack.

If they dont have something to moan about they'll get bored real fast.

I'd like to send a HUGE THANK YOU to the developers for finally giving the wookiees some kind of armor....frankly, anything would be better than the PSG's that last all of 4 shots.

Looking forward to any and all updates pertaining to this! THANK YOU VERY MUCH AGAIN!

Now I'm gonna have to sue SOE for wrongful death, because I just found my husband keeled over the keyboard here, apperantly the victim of a heart attack.

(not really, but thanks TH and SOE for finally coming through... for wookiees and for taking vare of my husband for me!)
