I just wear a helmet and chest. The chances that I can't heal the damage that goes into my arms is incredibly low, and the comp pants look stupid so I don't bother with them. I can't PvE, but I rarely ever die in PvP from anything other then mind.

Regarding "cheater" composite suits, can the same be done with other armour types? Like does an Ubese chest, helm, boots, glove combo work just as well as a full Ubese set?

Yes.
And I don't stock them, just because I don't want to bother w/ partial sets. It would probably just confuse the majority of people.

I only stock the full suits in packs, but I have over 1000 sliced pieces in stock so people can wear the armor however they want.

From a PvPer/Armorsmith
First of all, there is no way to get hit in an "armor hole" in PvP or PvE when you are wearing a 4 piece set of composite with a chestplate, gloves, boots, and helmet. The people above who say that people get hit in the legs are full of crap. I've been wearing sets of 4 pieces since the armor hole fix and never been hit where I wasn't protected by my armor (if I was wearing any and it wasn't broken of course). Because of the way the coding was changed, these are the only pieces of armor you need to wear. If you get hit with a leg shot and you're not wearing armor pants, it will hit your armor boots instead.
I've been stocking only these sets of armor for quite awhile now. Even before it wasn't necessary to wear arms and leggings, the 4 pieces in these sets wore down the fastest. These 4 pieces needed to be replaced before the others. By only selling these 4 in the set, you are selling exactly what the customer needs. If you wear a full 9 piece set, your boots and gloves will wear down slightly slower, but still much faster than your arms and leggings. The fix for this doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon, and if it is changed, you can always just go back and make arms and leggings to put with the rest of the sets you have left.
As far as pricing goes, I've found that I can make even more on these suits per cpu than I was on full sets. I price these 4 piece sets at 275K, when I used to sell full sets for 450K to 500K. The 4 piece sets take less than half the resources of a full set. People see these as the most important pieces, so the fact that it is more than half the price seems reasonable to them because the pieces they are getting is assumed to be more than half the value in their minds. Also, when thinking about it in terms of a set, a set of armor for 275K seems much cheaper than a set of 450K to 500K. It's less of an investment for the same protection.

I ended up not selling these as sets but as singles and in crates. Works out fine, and I charge a higher CPU than for full suits in bags.

Actually there are some types of clothing that will open up holes when combined with a mini armor suit. The two tone skirt I know specifically when worn with comp helm/boots/gloves/chest will open up the legs to unprotected hits.
To fix this all a mini suit user needs to do is switch to another type of clothing. Personally I sell BE Camo pants and BE undershirts to help people out with this. Both these types of clothing are compatible with mini armor suits.

True, there is an armor hole created by some skirts, but it is not because of the armor. I mean, I guess you could say it is, but it's really related to a bug with the skirt. I always wear pants to avoid this bug.

Only if I get a request for the specific parts. I don't stock them on my vendor. At least, not in packaged forms. I do have misc pieces on my vendor that they could use to piece together a "cheat suit". I don't endorse the usage, though.

Due to my current vendor limits I sell most items individually. I've set my pricing so that the 4 main pieces make the most money, with the biceps and bracers priced slightly less becuase they will usually sit longer. I find this works for me because I do low volume and mostly special orders.
As I switch to having more vendor room, I'll be stocking some full composite and ubese armor in bags. I don't plan on selling "mini-suits" bagged since it's not that much of an inconvience to the customer to buy 4 items then it is 9. They also get to see the stats of the item instead of going off my description.
Thanks for the tip on wearing skirts, had been wondering about that.

I've noticed this too. In PvE and PvP action hits are not getting absorbed by the boots. I did a "test", test if you will, with a TKM the other day. We dueled with the 4 pieces on and several action hits were not being blocked. I put pants on for another duel and all were being blocked.

Now try this again with only paramilitary camos and form fitted shirt + the cheeter set.....
