Thread: UNITE TO STRIKE THREAD
These bugs are quite annoying, but I found an easy way around most of them. I set my barker on the vendor to relay messages to my clients as well. I just basically tell them that display issues with the vendor are bugged and that if they have any questions about color or resists on armor to just email me. I find this is working quite well. IM still selling 3 to 4 mil a night in armor and getting alot of repeat business because im being available to them the player base to answer their questions.
I will be honest, I think the biggest bug out there atm is the color bug, but then I dont sell a whole lot of factional armor either. On a side note gang, I have been able to confirm at least on the chilastra server that some armors are still working on factory crates. Ubese and composite are totally borked, but black tantel with the white padds on arms and chest all comes out the correct colors. In addition, marauder armor that is black with red padding all works as well with exception of pants. So now I just hand make the pants and do the rest by factory crate. Also, all black padded is working very well on all peices. Yes this doesnt give the customer a color selection, but at least this keeps me from having to hand make all the armors. I can much more deal with hand making just ubese and composite as to have to make them all by hand. Lets just hope this gets fixed.
I wonder how long until the NPC armor vendors start showing up, because this prof is on the way out.

I don't support actions like this, period. It makes us look childish and immature. I want our community to be viewed in a positive light, not as a bunch of children acting out for attention.
I'm as angry, frustrated and disheartened as every single one of you, however, I made a promise to you guys when I took the position that I would fight tooth and nail to get us fixed. And I am. I've raised holy hell over this issue, the color issue, and many many others and I will continue to do so.
All I ask is you act in a manner that wouldn't make me embarrassed to call you one of my peers. This sort of action is not behavior I condone and it embarrasses me to even see you considering it.
Thanks.
What? A sensible leader in the AS community?!?!?!

Strike? Huh? I can't sell any armor (I only sell faction armor). Umm, so yeah, I guess I'm on strike. Its pathetic, they created more bugs than the pub 18 fixed(VERY LAME for that crap to be called a publish btw). First and foremost , SOE makes sure the 13 year olds (who are off on summer break) can kill all the jedi they want, then, maybe they'll get around to fixing some problems, but I doubt it.

was that comment really necesary? I still read the forums ya know. and really such a small population of players read the forums, organizing a strike here would accomplish nothing, you'd maybe get 1 or 2 smiths per server striking, and those who don't would just get more money while you do nothing.
if you want to stop production until the bug is fixed, do what I did: put "CLOSED" in my shop sign, put up an entrance fee to your shop, and alert all your friends (put them on entry list if necessary.) don't try this if you need the business...
although 3 people already paid the fee to come in since yesterday
p.s.: my shop sign actually says "Pappi Inc Tailoring - CLOSED until tissued clothing are fixed", but as I found out, most people don't read store signs

I will happily unite with whoever to strike a few devs in the face ...
That's what we were talking about, right?

Not to get all negative or anything, but I don't see the connection between a strike and childish. It could be, but is not necessarily so. Organized labor has long used the power of a strike..........maybe they are all just being childish in their demands? Different people do have different approaches to issues for sure, and some can be childish regardless of how they conduct themselves, however the desire to unify in making a demand on these issues doesn't seem childish. Plenty of that without a strike or whatever every time I am in game it seems from my vantage point.
Anyhow, it should be evident from the posting/updating of the ELUA that they devs greatly pay attention to strikes/mass gatherings in protest. They take the stance that it should not be done cause "it harms others with the lag it creates," which it can, but it definately is a kind of civil disobediance that gets paid attention to from their actions already taken against such things.
I dare say, if possible to bring down a server, they would pay very well to fixing things to avoid such a protest too. Of course they wouldn't like it and take measures to ensure they don't suffer future troubles/uprisings.........but they definately pay attention.
That said, I don't think I'll be striking. I just didn't see the pronouncement of striking being synonymous with childish in the manner you connected things.
Best regards, and thanks for the work you endeavor to do on behalf of others as a correspondent.

Still surprised they didn't pick you, I take it? Seriously, we get ignored regardless of leadership type. It's funny because when I switched to Armorsmith from Tailor some time ago, one of the first things I noticed was how seriously we were taken here by comparison.
please do strike, more sales for the rest of us that stick it out
and btw....put the resits in the name of the armor (with your logo) FTW
example {VAE}{6000KE} Rebel Battle Helmet or {VAE}{7555k}{4500B} Composite Chest {red}
k thanks
