Doesn't that emote just say "Soandso raises an eyebrow at target?"

Ask them what you are wearing, or what you are holding, or what colour your jacket may be. That's the surest way I know to filter out the unattendees from the working dancers.

How would you suggest I go about determining who's AFK and who's not? I mean, I don't want to offend anybody, and I also don't want to make the mistake of assuming that an entertainer is AFK if he or she doesn't greet me when I walk in. I usually use emotes or tells, but are there better ways that I haven't thought of?

Anyhow..usually a /eyebrow recieves a /ponder or /question from me.The only time I get livid and knock some guy on their butt is when they take it beyond that and its unwanted attention.Otherwise /eyebrow me away

I don't see that what she was wearing or not wearing makes any difference in the equation. If someone comes into the cantina and raises an eyebrow at me they are going to get a "Hello X. How's it going?" just as everyone who comes into the cantina does. I only get curt with people who feel the need to lick. I'm an entertainer not a lollipop.
So keep on looking forinteraction from the entertainers. If they can't handle it, then that's their loss and no fault of yours.

Hats off to all the dancers who wear what they want because they like it, not because they're just dying to have men drool on them.
BUT. If you walk the walk, i.e. wear the skimpy clothes, you'd better either talk the talk or find something else to wear, or just learn to deal with it in silence. Snapping at any male who so much as looks at you because you're dressed in the amount of fabric it takes to make a tea towel and you think he wants something is just plain rude, and won't get you very far in the entertaiment comminuty.
Nope, I don't think an /eyebrow is out of line at all. I'm not saying dancers should be encouraged to flirt with anything that walks in the door, but honestly, if you're going to do the kind of dance one usually has to be 18+ to see, wearing about the same amount of stuff, people are gonna look at you. An /eyebrow should be the *least* of your worries if this bothers you.

Well... Not every person plays the same kind of character. It may be that you were checking out a drag queen (a Todd if you will) and he was just trying to head off any potential flirt attempts at the pass.

The dancer was way out of line. If it was a public cantina my guess would be that it's a guy leveling up his alt and he is overly sensative that he might be homosexual because he's made a female character and probably snaps at every male character who even looks in her general direction just to be certain that he doesn't inadvertantly encourage any kind of homoerotic behavior.
Don't sweat it. You didn't do anything wrong (but in my opinion the dancer did). Cantinas are supposed to be social don't alow yourself to be scared off from interacting socialy in them just because of a few chodes who are scared they might be gay.

I think it says "Soandso raises an eyebrow at you... what are you up to?" or something like that, like you might have been naughty. Even still, that's a huge jump to perv, lol. I agree with Silly and the others, most likely this Dancer just has some personal issues.

Don't worry about it. The dancer was being overly sensitive. Continue to do your own thing.

/hi5 Ikewe!
It's been a pet peeve of mine since game start.I have always thought /licking someone should make you open to attack from them. People might think first before they use it. It's now a running joke among mostof old school flurry, see my sig for details.
To the original poster, you weren't out of line from the details you have given us. She prolly had another reason entirely for her reaction, and you just had misfortunatetiming.
I am by no means shy but my guy teases me about so rarely wearing my exquisite leotard. In fact,he was surprised I even ownafleshwrap. I simply have to be in the mood to deal with the resulting attention, and rarely am.![]()

Palacek is one of the most thoughtful, considerate and respectful players I have had the pleasure of meeting in this game so I can assure everyone that his intentions were nothing less than innocent interaction. Pal is a roleplayer and as rabidly anti-AFK as I am! LOL!
I'd guess that the dancer was probably a male leveling up hisintendted bot. I've seen a decided increase in the number of potential bots recently. I believe players are trying to use the bots toget more credits while the getting's good before bots(and their money making talents)are history.
You have nothing to be concerned about, Pal. I'd say that dancer is lucky I wasn't there at the time or she'd still be trying to pull the heel of my shoe out of her backside in answer to HER rudeness!
