I just want to point out that i just made a thread in this forum that seems to suggest that this is indeed a bug that is causing these raised stats

I think what I am saying is as an armorsmith or weaponsmith you have the choice now to make better resist armor or low ham armor and not both

That gives the crafting profession variety so that you will have for sale low ham rifles and high damage rifles and not all weaponsmith making the identical ones.

Variety and options, im not looking for Uber stuff just options in crafting

So you're saying you don't have any options in crafting with 12 points? lmao. If you aren't looking to make uber stuff also, why do you have 12 skill points?

The only people making anything better with this patch are the crafters with more than 12 skill points. Try using only 10 skill points when you are crafting, then see how much better this patch is.

Granted, I think 12 point smiths should make superior weapons/armor than a 10 point smith. But it shouldn't be a requirement as it is now with this patch. What all you 12 point smiths are failing to realize is this a nerf for the 10 point masters and a huge boost to the 12 point masters.

That is not really something the patch introduced.

All the major competiting AS on Valcyn have 12 pts.

Yes, some do get by with 10, but those that are usually referenced have 12 pts...

No 10 pointers can make 80% kinetic 62% base 510/440/514 ham composite ( not my stuff but a fellow AS makes this)

I have 10 points experimentation and make it with about 1/3 that many hams. I'd consider that stuff junk.

Not to put anyone down, but man those hams are horribly high.

So you're the guy everyone's always telling me about when they want to get me to lower my prices that makes triple layered composite with 200 HAM! Wow.

To tell you the truth, that sounds pretty good for triple layered composite to me. My 80% kinetic, 64% base is probably a good 40 points above that in HAM costs.

It's all in the resources and spending your time experimenting to get the max when all your buddies are sending you tells saying 'let's go hunting'. I am out of the fiberplast and solid petro I used to get the 62% stats, but with the current Ride on Bloodfin and some 810oq solid fuel, my chestpiece out of the factory is:

Electricity 69% Kinetic 80% Bases 60% Health 241 Action 76 Mind 41Condition 36973

Not bad for a 10 pointer?

Ham I gave was for full suit not chestplate.

I do not remember the full stats as it is not stuff but from memory the mind ham on the chest was 32..

why this would be bad

previous advanced composite segment with no layersfrom kauri:

420 integrity

17% base

h 8

a 8

m 10

6% electrical

new segment

238 integrity

17% base

h 11

a 11

m 15

6% electrical

patch would be fine if they would let us get decent colat iron and kiirium steel on kauri

Ok!! that makes alot more sense LOL. I take back the statement about it not being good as it is very good!

Just now added the total hams from some sets I made before the patch today, again it was 69E 80K 60base stuff, totals were 612/525/613. Never thought about adding them all up before

At least with great enc slices a Bothan can wear a set unbuffed, which is what I was shooting for.

Got me a standard now to shoot for on that stuff you quoted though

Lol!

Drat, that means I'm going to have to keep searching for that mysterious armorsmith who can make 300 HAM triple layered composite for 100k!

Comparison Tripple layered stun composite:

Pre-Patch:

73% Electricity

38% Stun

60% Base

Post-Patch:

68% Electricity

37% Stun

55% Base

Same HAM costs

This was made with the same materials both Pre-patch and Post-patch

This IS a nerf and i will be so happy to see it GO!!!!

I also noticed people posting about 80% tripple layered kinetic composite. I'm sure i'm not the only one who can hit 80% kinetic with 2 layers. I only have 10 pts too. Less layers= lower HAMS.

Actually, if you can experiment the HAM's low enough, it's actually better to make the 80% kinetic with three layers, rather than two. Essentially, three 2% base/6% kinetic layers are better than two 2% base/9% kinetic layers. The reason is that those three 2% base/6% kinetic layers will have a HAM cost of 2/2/2, if you've got good enough resources, while the two 2% base/9% kinetic layers will have a HAM cost of more like 8/8/8. You get a slight 1% boost per layer that really helps if you can get the HAM costs down.
