I compared previous chest and arm pieces from yesterday and made more today.
Things you need to know:
-All the segments were premade up until today(patch day)
-All my supplies are 900+ and most are 900/900 in OQ and SR
Old chest piece:
78% electric
80% kinetic
68% Base
246 Health Ham (I am at work so these numbers may be off by a couple)
NEW CHEST PIECE
78% electric
80% kinetic
70% base
259 Health Ham (from what I remember making armor before work today)
More Facts:
I made 8 pieces of armor and 2 schematics and got 3 AMAZING successes in 10-15 minutes. This is without a research town or food
Thats a 30% chance per piece(each piece has about 4 tries) to get an amazing success, so no more clicking 100 times till you get the perfect piece (saves my time and fingers)
He who cried WOLF!
To everyone that said this patch won't be good for armorsmiths and spammed the boards. I am so sorry you did that. This patch allows for a more variety of Armor (better resist or lower hams) and cateres to the true armorsmiths and not the Production junky armorsmiths. It takes balance and options which I enjoy in making armor.
I would like to see this patch kept in. I trust the developers more than my own representitives which is sad.
OVERVIEW-
-Patch gives us more options
-Patch gives us better % (if we want)
-Patch gives us a greater Amazing sucess chance
1)saves us time
2)better for a casual gamer (I'm not one)
3)A little patience gives reward
-Patch is less likely to let all armorsmiths on a server make the same exact type of armor.
I enjoy the patch and hope it stays - The developers did good

Build some from the ground up (layers, segments, final assembly) and report the stats back.

I can't I had to go to work.
And no way will I waste my time on that, I have to produce as much armor as I can today!
Anyone else?

Great..
my layers were at 4% for the suits above
Can you give me the full stats of your layer?

this doesnt prove that its good for armorsmith, it proves that it would result in higher base on some items but we knew that already

I guess what I'm saying is Its good for me and I'm an armorsmith
A+B=C
I agree we need to do a full comparison of layers to segments to full piece.
Waiting for anyone with the day off to do this.

This change would have been good for me as well but bad for the AS community and new AS thus was against it

do you have the basic 10 exp points or no? this patch will benefit people with 12 exp pooints but will destroy any new commers. i have 12 exp points for my weapons and there is a very nice difference. but me havign an advantage as much as i like it is not good for the growth and future of this game.

I saw your post - a Good one
I think what I am saying is as an armorsmith or weaponsmith you have the choice now to make better resist armor or low ham armor and not both
That gives the crafting profession variety so that you will have for sale low ham rifles and high damage rifles and not all weaponsmith making the identical ones.
Variety and options, im not looking for Uber stuff just options in crafting
