I guess the main reason I am so optimistic, is because I was actually here when they opened up these forums (on the horrendous old software, lol), and paid careful attention and offered a ton of input into this game, and right now, I can tell you the CURB is what was intended for SWG from the get-go.
The problem is that the devs were forced to rush out a game still technically in beta (thanks to damn Lucasarts), and then rather than try to fix the game from there properly, they tried just to make it playable until the game took on a life of its own, and didn't even resemble the original intended game.
This CURB is what was ORIGINALLY intended, but with the devs a few years older and wiser, and some refinements on the original system to make tactics count. SWG was always meant to be a tactical MMORPG - the fact that they were forced to publish screwed things up from the get-go, and until this CURB, they have never seemed to recover, and focused more on making players happy than putting together a solid game.
Sounds nice, but the problem is, you can't make everyone happy, you screwed the game up even more, and people have left because the game is screwed up.
Now they are fixing the game, and the heck with the whiners, which is what they should have done in the first place.
Zionshut yourbig mouth. You cant make good armor all you can make is newb armor. In the combat balance if Sena cant make my rebel armor I will go imp. Face it you suck as a player and a armorsmithand think everyone that solos things should suffer cause you cant. Have fun in your precious retarded system nOOb. BTW all you do is whine. You are one of those people that thinks CH/Armorsmith should be good in PvP.

ROFL if you dont know my characters on radiant you are a NUB. Awesome, you can make RIS armor stuff that is absolutely useless in PvP and PvE. Go back to your hole you rat and make your "collectible" and "useless"armor. I bet you can make the BEST bone armor on radiant though, now thats an achievement huh? My, someone thinks a little too highly of themselves. Funny, I bring facts, and you bring insults. The thing is, I don't care what some coward who doesn't even know I was the first RIS smith on Radiant to make AND PUBLISH the formula for 80% Kinetic 80% base RIS on the entire server, and the fact that I have outfitted clans, persons, and in the process of currently outfitting certain members of the Elite Squad, the only group who has repeatedly tackled the DWB to the level of success where they have over 20 Jetpacks, thinks.
So, you want to hurl insults and tell me I suck. Go ahead. You are nothing. I have the attention of the people that matter, and I am more interested in discussing the upcoming CURB than getting into a pissing contest with you, which, lets face it, judging by your reaction and your maturity level, that is all this is to you.
I know I piss further than you, and I know the people who matter know it too. Sena and Holo are good smiths, and I take nothing away from them. But I know who I am, what I contribute, and I know who knows about me. And I am secure enough in my manhood to know that is good enough for me, unlike you, who got thoroughly PANTSED by me, and now is trying to save face.

quick question...will you really enjoy grouping up with your other AS/master CH's with 0040marksman friends and taking a buff session to kill a

your flamingmeby telling me im on the wrong forum and saying that im hysterical? first of all your saying im hysterical..im actually really calm..just the fact that the DEVs are making stupid changes...second of all your saying im on the forums but AS has a great drastic influence on ALL combat related professions soit would be perfectly with in my right to come to this forums and straightout some GOooONs(including you now) that will have a drastic influence on my game play because he's not happy with SWG...

Go back to your hole you rat and make your "collectible" and "useless"armor. I bet you can make the BEST bone armor on radiant though, now thats an achievement huh? Since you suck at the game you think everyone should suck.I hate to say you make sh1t RIS armor, holocron and sena make hella better RIS then you nOOb.

So whats the best "stun" RIS armor you have seen? If you compare Composite to RIS, RISis absolutely worthless in PvP. He effects PvP because hes a armorsmith. Armor is a big part in the game if you havent realized. I target Zion because anyone that posts that the combat balance is bad he replies back with a weak excuse that this is a MMORPG. He has to be one of the most narrowminded armorsmith on Radiant. Just because he isnt all that good in the current system doesntmean he needs to reply back to people saying this is a MMORPG.People have fun soling things early after reset, they will nolonger be able to do this. Armor is restricted to certain weapon classes which is absolutely dumb. This game ishaving a identity crisis.

Personally speaking im a Swordsmen Doctor currently that usess all sliced 40% stun atleast 88% effective composite,,, so I can solo any mob in game ,,,, I also PvP a little and can take out most other melee proffesions and jedi without to much problems,,,, although what I am really fearful of is PvE,,, I like the current system and I have a lot of fun doing it,,, so I will definetly miss soloing ,,,, but also you have to realize that STUN will mean nothing for PvP in a month,, as there will be no stun dmg,,, so RIS may very well be the best option for melee proffesions,,,
anyway,,, there are some good things from CU,,, like the new weapons,,, the end of over power DOTS,, and the being able to use specials from other proffesion trees seems cool,,,,
however I would of much rathered see them leave the current system intact and just tweak certain aspects,,, I feel like CU is a whole new game which is scary and I have played it on TC5 and it hasnt been much fun so far,,, either way we are all in for some crazy changes
