Does anyone else find it odd that someone with "Community Relations" in their title can become too so busy working that they cannot respond to the community. When I see good people that bust their butts at their totally unrelated job and are still taking time to post for the betterment of the community in every forum I visit and then see someone, whos actual job it is to post in those forums, complain that they get too busy and cannot respond it really tweaks my mellon.
Meh, I'm just grumpy I guess. Where's my coffee?
If your grumpy then dont post because it will get you suspended and/or banned, your trolling and stating that Tiggs does not respond to the community regularly is a lie and just pointless ranting if post like that continue I will start handing out suspensions. Just because Your personal most important question or concern is not answered individually does not mean that there is a lack of communication. If the devs (or anyone for that matter) were to sit here and reply to every question that each individual feels they deserve an immediate answer to there would never be any game dev going on, there would be no maintenance, there would be no patches, and there would be nothing done.
Community relations Director is not just about posting and there is a ton of work and Tiggs (as you can see by her posting times) pretty much works 24/7 and that is by no means an exaggeration.
With all due respect Garva, I think it's just frustration that this entire boondolgle know as the CU is being pushed through and our opinions are being considered to stop or MAJORLY change it.
No major concerns of any professions have been met, as of yet, and communication as to why this is so import to go through "As-is" or close to as-is, has been answered.
Couple that with lying in chats about community response in Dev chats and John Smedley letters, how did SOE expect anything else?
Also, I do believe Tiggs is working close to 24/7 but if it's on something 74% of us hate, most people aren't going to appreciate that effort.
You'll notice we did give her her "props" for the time she spent communicating with us previoulsy under Tyrants leadership-no one can or should deny that.

I support removing combat classes if keeping them in results in a "dumbed down" game - I support Devs that know how to design a game

lol i can't believe you actually sat there and read through this thread. Any way I think people are miss-directing or venting their anger at Tiggs what i think would have been better is that a dedicated thread which only devs responsible for each profession could post on in the profession forums . So someone like Blix or Even Tiggs could pop on look at the top 5 issues for Armorsmith profession or any profession and just take 5 mins and say "yup i've seen what you have to say and its noted". I think thats where the root problem is pushing aside the issues regarding okaram2k being removed as the correspondent for Armorsmith.

I think we need to know more than "it's been noted". I trust the devs at face value, that they know what we're saying.
What we need to know is why something was changed and when it will be changed back (assuming it is changing a majority of people's gameplay and has community support for being changed back)
No one is upset at them for bug fixes or anything like that. We're upset at them for changing things that aren't broken.

I have no particular view on Okram's departure as AS. Spamming dev's email addresses was obviously not a great thing to do and it deserved punishment. Whether removing him as AS was the wisest thing to do at this time (when a CU is going through andrevamping armor is a key part of the changes), I doubt, but then I do not know all the facts so I will not comment.
What I would like to ask though is whether the SOE team have considered what might have motivated Okram to carry out such an act and what they can learn from it?
I am sure Okram probably knew that it wasn't going to go down well so why did he feel his only course of action was to spam your email?
The fact is that many professions are deeply, deeply concerned about the CU and there is very little information coming back from SOE. As a result, people are panicky and worried. Some of their nervousness may be justified but much of it may well not be justified and could easily be allayed by some authoritative statements and communication from those in the know.
I speak as a Ranger who has been participating in the CU sporadically and is, like my Ranger colleagues, very worried about what is happening to Ranger in the CU. We still are worried, although the change to give us CL that was announced on the DevChat the other night was very welcome news. However, there are plenty of other things still bothering us and no-one appears to be providing our correspondent, Owen, with answers to the questions that he has put forward on our behalf.
The Armorsmiths are a profession who seem to be very worried (dare I say downright angry?) about the CU and I can only assume that it was those worries combined with a lack of communication that drove Okram to the actions that he took.
Surely, there are some lessons in there for you, SOE, about communication, about handling testing and the opening up of testing to players and not least about the CU itself and what the player base think of it to give you pause for thought?

apparently everyone has different definitions of "regularly". i mean, i think that's how this all got started in the first place.
grumpiness or no, armor and armorsmithery is exceedingly important to the CURB. I think it's important to allow dissenting opinions, and especially with the CURB being released in a few weeks, it's also very important to provide clear and rapid communication on these issues.
it was a really bad decision to boot the armorsmith correspondent this close to may 5th. i can't imagine TH or tiggs being able to do the work of an armorsmith correspondent in addition to their normal duties, exspecially this close to the release of the expansion and the CURB, and, i can't imagine the new armorsmith correspondent becomming framiliar with all of the ins and outs of his position in that short amount of time either.
