well, guess devs are takin into consideration the people they gonna lose vs the people they gonna gain. The CU is gonna fluck up the game. Wish they would listen to what most people want instead of what the devs or whoever "thinks" we want. WOW, here i come

Don't let the door hit you on the way out and see you when you come back (everyone comes back... if they actually do more than threaten adn do leave).

Only way I'm coming back is if there's reason to come back, meaning reason to trust that my effort and sweat put into the game wont be destroyed again, meaning that since the SOE team has lost credibility and lacks the ability to successfully manage, the only way I'll be back is if they're all fired and the new peeps in charge make major reconciliation efforts with the player community. Period. And should that happen and I should return, it will be a fresh start, because I mean business and have already given away all my crafting resources, equipment and goods to guildmates, its all gone... 2 years of hard, hard work and passion, destroyed.

The devs working on combat upgrade can either hit the forums and respond all day to your questions or work on CU. I am sure we are all in agreement with having them bang away at issues and bugs with CU rather then post all day.

Tiggs, please don't insult us. We aren't by any means saying that they should be posting all day. Would it hurt to post once, maybe TWICE a day, to calm us down, let us know what you're thinking? Just a "Hi, hello, still thinking about what to do, will promise to get back to you as soon as we can." That took 40 seconds. There is no excuse for your lack of communication.

There are actually many replies in the CU forum and the correspondent forum from Devs. They do respond when they can.

Tiggs did the devs ever stop and think maybe the reason the overwhelming majority of players hate the CU is becuase it was built consulting with the Correspondents? I mean there was very little community imput into the CU and thats exactlly why it sucks (If there was imput from the community I sure dont see it reflected in the CU)... because the players were left out of the loop till it was thrown at us in asemi-compleat form which I would assume has very little room to change as anything big the community complains about seems to be ignored.

Do you mean "without" the correspondents? The correspondents have said that they were presented information, and their feedback back to the devs was that they didn't like it, and then to make matters worse, what they were presented was even different from what landed on test center, so all in all, what we have in test center was completely fabricated in the ivory tower without any community evaluation and feedback prior to launching to test center.

Now there is some great communication to the player base...2 forums 99.9% of us have no access to.....

Thats why they created a correspondent, to take the information from the players, weed out the non constructive 'stuff' and submit it to the Community Relations/Devs. And then take responses and put together what they see shaping up in the Correspondent/CU forum and get it back out to the players. One Dev/Community Relations post on the CU/Correspondent forum can have information for all the professions, its up to the correspondents to get that info back to the players.

No, I don't think so. If they came to the forums they would understand the direction that players actually would like the CU to progress.

Armorsmiths and Commandos have had infinitely more responses on their forum from Devs (Blixtev and Helios_SOE) than any other profession. The other professionshave received 0dev posts on their forums. The responses I've seen from Blixtev in the last few dayshave been verypositive. Crafter Docs, Weaponsmiths and Armorsmiths are all being impacted by the changes to schematics, I dare you to say you won't benefit MORE from these changes than the Doctors that have had their crafting removed entirely.

Actually Tiggs I think what alot of the people are saying is just the opposite. They are saying "Stop coding, stop coding for a second until you assure us you at least understand our concerns with what it is you keep 'banging away' at."

Saying that we can all agree on things we don't all agree on only exacerbates the perception that you are not taking the feedback we are trying to give, let alone effectively communicating it to the DEVs (no wonder people tired to remove you from the equation).

And, by the way Tiggs ... posting updates to a forum that the player base cannot read and those who can are not allowed to speak about ... that DOES NOT count as developer communication with the player base. Clearly posts made readable to the community that is so concerned ... hasn't addressed their concerns. Saying "oh well we talked about other stuff ... in other places ... but you cant see that stuff" ... that doesn't count.

I hope lucasarts can come to save us. This is getting bad. I can't understand how they are saying people are happy about this CURB. Sure the ratings on the questionaire are going up, but they are asking facilitated questions with predetermined outcomes...

SWG Devs:

Is this twinkie yello?
Could it be more yellow?

mmm twinkies...

Correspondents have rules just as you do on our forums and these need to be upheld. When a correspondent goes against the rules they will be removed just as any of you would be. A correspondent's position is to bring to the Dev team the issues their profession is currently having or foresee. It isnot to rally up the troops and spam in private message tells tothe devs, just to be heard. The correspondents have direct access to our email addresses and to the correspondent forum. Unfortunately there are times when TH and I get very busy and we need to concentrate on the other duties we have. During these timesthe correspondents may nothear anything from us. We do however let them know we are still reading their posts or emails even if we aren't replying and their concerns are being brought to the table.

All of this is outlined in the correspondent forum, the application for being a correspondent and the welcome letter they receive.

Please keep it constructive, any posts that are not constructive will be removed.

Perhaps you can clarify the Developers and the rest who works for this game THEIR obligations towards their players/correspontents? Since we players are the last to get any info (if any info at all) and as the game progresses it seems like nobody listen to the issues that OUR correspondents deliver (living in your own shielded little world of monthly payments from players).

in my Eyes an average of 10 Post on Dev tracker a day....50% of them being you saying Lol and Gotta feed the kids and other funny but not game related stuff... and the other 40% being start of Discussion threads with no other info (no replies) than Daily update note....leaves on average 1-2 posts wich actually adress concerns and the issues a lot of players have...is not a LOT, and cant even be considered many.

Dont get me wrong you (Tiggs) responding to none game related stuff is fun enough, just not very helpfull in regards to seing if some of the concerns we voiced is heard at all.

Huun, love those comics, I really do.
but if you are any of the higher ups have noticed, none of us are buying it. We ralleyed ourselves. heck, Okram2k worked to keep us calm. He knew we had our issues with what what was going on and did HIS JOB as a corrispondant. you say you don't censorship. I think so far we're all callin that out. There is no Corrispondant that did his job better then Okhram2k. We ALL feel that. But I guess the higher ups don't care eh.
So much for us having a voice.

This is the reason there is so much unhappiness in the community now.

The devs are stuck in a room working working on changes to things and additions that may not even be wanted (the new UI being the perfect example). Had they come to the forums and proposed their idea about what they have planned (and I mean EVERYTHING they have planned), perhaps then they could be given some contructive criticism and proposals from the community about their views on proposed changes and give their input on how these would be ebst implementaed (or left alone as the case may warrant).

This would go along way to stop incidents like this happening again, and perhaps we could even end up with a game that we'd enjoy after this CU, and not the mess that is on TC now. Going ahead with your own ideas without player input leads to things like this, and causes the unrest and unhappiness in the community, its been seen time and time again. Perhaps you can learn something from what has happened here over the last 24 hours, if not, then it wont be long before you are looking for new jobs. Cos there wont be an SWG to work on.
