If you send me a PM with your email address, I will email you the full html file in text format. That should be fine for printing.

FYI, on the gated resources section, Polymer can go up to 1000 in SR. I actually have some from a fw months back on Bloodfin.

I did this and it always went to the wook armor. Did I do something wrong?

Great post, very informative. A quick question that I don't think was answered and I have not been able to figure out... What is the effect of wearing partial armor, like just the Bone chest plate, or composite legs. Is there a way to view my characters protection stats as a whole?
Yes - I am new to the game and am experimenting with wearing armor. Thanks.

There is an excel spreadsheet somewhere which does compute the best base % you can obtain given a set of resources.
you plug in OQ/SR stats on segment and main construction.
I think a net search can find this. it was in a discussion thread on how to make good armor.

Are Brackaset Plates, Fambaa Hide, Sharnaff Plates , or Voritor Lizard Scales worth it in modern Composite, Ubese, or the new Wook armor? Are smiths able to use equivalently crafted items with better results or stats?

I know voritor segment are used in Bone Armor. I am not quite sure about the rest, if you read the description of the segment when you examine it it should tell ya what it can be used in.

If the items are labeled "segment enhancers" or something similar, they can be used in any armor segment that has an enhancement slot (composite, ubese, and mabari are some of them, check your schematics). If the item is labeled "armor segment" than it can only be used in one specific type of armor and replaces the crafted armor segment.
Because segment enhancers do not replace anything in the armor, they are essentially "power ups" that will always improve some stat of your armor above what it would be if you made it without the item. However, oftentimes these stat boosts come with corresponding encumbrance trade-offs, so you need to decide whether it's worth it.

That's the answer I was looking for, thanks! =)
