Thread: The Complete Guide to Armor and Armorcrafting
When you say a complete guide you certainly mean it...
thank you, now ive only got 15 hours of grinding to go before i start work as a Master Armorsmith and starting making some money to buy some Armor Experimentation tapes...
Just wanted to say to all of you grinding armorsmiths:
Mabari chest plates are the way to go! Do not be distraught by their use of synthetic clothes, just harvest (or buy) 16k fiberplast and 4k polymer. Then, find a novice tailor to make you schematic with the resources. Pop them into a factory and buy the next day you will have 40 crates. I find this is much faster than the typical AUK/ubese shirt method.
Doh! Don't ask my guild how many times I've done that when reading coordinates off a site like Warcry to them...it's a good thing there's no friendly fire in this game, because I'd have quite a bit of decay if there were...

Awesome guide! left out one small detail on RIS location. the negative sign in front of the first coordinate for the old guy. +6800 puts you on wrong side of planet, lol.
I looked over this guide to get some enlightenment on how armor works. Needless to say I found out just about all I needed to know. A couple questions though:
1. I assume that damage taken on a "Head Hit" or "Body Hit" is only calculated against your armor Helmet and Chest Armor respectively, and not the overall Armor Protection of your entire suit. What about "Arm Hits" and "Leg Hits"? Do you average the ratings of your Gloves, Bracers, and Bicep Armors to calculate an "Arm Hit", or is there an even further detailed, but hidden, hit location? Same for "Leg Hits" with respect to Leggings and Boots.
2. If the damage is broken down to individual Arm and Leg pieces, then what about armor without these pieces? Do they offer protectionto these body parts with less encumbrance due to less pieces, or do they leave "holes" in protection? The only vague clue to this in the guide was the reference to the Ubese Armor Jacket that covered the upper arm, but does it protect the entire arm?
I appreciate any help or a link to a previous post that would explain this. I also think that if there is an answer, that it should be added to the guide.
You missed the Yellow Geo Cube which raises base.
Also, Red effects HAM, Green condition, and White doing nothing.
I am sure you knew this, I just pointed it out cause I did not see it up there.
Awesome thanks so much...you really helped me get on my way
Rock on... ~ievei~
