Thread: 2 different smiths able to hit 44 stun on Intrepid(Edited on Oct 14 with how we did it)

New spawn of resources, or old? Wondering if there is anything to the "current spawn theory."

Those sell for 995k ?
Getting a lot of bussniess?
Well you sure are lucky you are not on Valcyn
Because I wouldn't have let you get away with that kind of pricing
Like I said I only made 30 atm- I had a few hundred 40 stun/67 base pieces for 100k or less I wanted to unload first. Had I released the 44 stun helms for say 200k- those older ones would be obsolete and I would have had to slash the prices further.
Was a good business decision IMO.

We were each able to accomplish this independently, and the results are reproducable (no nerf day crafting, etc)
I stilldoubt that yourresults are reproducable. It was luck like the smuggler hittingtwo 35% effectiveness slices on the same day where others did not have a single in one inover 3000 slices. Or special circumstances change the odds to your favour.
I was fortunate enough to break a resource cap last night with an amazing assembly. Unfortunately, it was on an AV-21, not the kinetic layers I spent two hours throwing away the night before. Go figure.
For info: on the AV-21 I maxed the single line at 96% rather than the normal 94%, with 3 exp points remaining.

I don't believe that luck has much to do with it - it's just down to plain old probability. Two 35% slices in a day is improbable, but not impossible. Rocky managed to replicate Yaman's success through sheer perseverance (and he's clearly stated his motivation for the attempt). With assembly rolls, we're just going to have to be insanely patient to hit the critical success.

do you have any screen shots of that? i have gotten amazing assembly on a av21 before. using 1000 sr iron and 899 sr alum. still only got 97% with 1 amazing exp, which is what i normally get
I wish I did... I made 3 the other day, all 94%s, using the new Oheh (890 or so?) and I think some 962SR Goovaw.
I made two more last night. The first came out like normal - 94%, two exp points remaining. I've had amazing experimentations before and never cracked the cap.
The second - amazing assembly (I'm 99.9% sure it just said amazing), followed by a full amazing experiment (experimenting max points). I then filled in the remaining points, to hit 96%.
Unless they have sold today, both AV-21s will be on my vendor in S&B, both made from Oheh/Goovaw. As Rocky said much earlier in the thread, I just coasted past the assembly screen without thinking (thanking the server gods for no crit fail) and realised I'd cracked the cap.
On eclipse we can make 97% but because of this type of assembly we have some 99% ones also.

Rocky I have a direct questionabout your layer.
I have done some research on TC today to make some statistics of assemblyresults. I could not finish it as the server went down 2 minutes ago. But already I could see onevery good indicator of the assemblysuccess in the final layer.
As your layers get zero exp points into durability the integrety should always be the same. But it isnt:
the item assembly was....
an amazing success!!! 208 integrity
a great success! 208 integrity
a good success. 184 integrity
a moderate success. 160 integrity
a success. 141 integrity
only marginally successful. 137 integrity
So pleae tell us the integrity of your 14% Stun layer and give the integrity of just any regular layer.
Sure will- as soon as the playoff games are over ill check. Only problem is I made these layers with a steel (had more to waste) and normally use an iron so the intergrety on those layers will be different.
However ill make a few with the steel I used and post those stats.
Actually I made 300 layers last night but no luck........
