Thread: [BER14] why u do price dumping
Says who? Do we not have cross server lot trades that hold 50 or more harvestors?

Undoubtedly someone will think up Walmart. The problem with discounting and with businesses in general is a very high rate of failure. Walmart gained a niche in the market by offering a larger variety of products and targetting a lower income bracket. Plus they had improved customer service. Walmart along with other corporations lobbied Clinton very heavily to give China most favored nation status. Walmart capitalized very heavily when that went through which is incidentally why so much of their stock is Chinese and not American.
So the lessons of Walmart really have nothing to do with cheap goods. We don't have the dubious advantage of employing cheap labor by an unscrupulous foreign government to lower our architect costs. I even heard something rather disgusting that the Guardian discovered. A Chinese cosmetics company is harvesting skin and collagen from executed prisoners to make its cosmetics products.

Yeah those exist, but they don't exactly make the job easier to do. They provide access to more cheap resources which isn't the same thing. Walmart is getting cheap MANUFACTURED goods. Lot trades don't provide you with any goods any faster. Things are still being provided in the same old slow way. You still have to make everything yourself.

You guys amaze me, and keep me coming back here for big laughs. The last post I made in this thread...5 DAYS AGO...clearly stated I had no wish to participate in arguementative banter. So after that you all decide to continue on anyway. Sheesh!!! I have never in my life seen a more pronounced desired to argue and harass. But I'll check back in a few more days to get another good laugh.
If you dont want an argument you should not send in your co horts to stir the pot... your ploit is quite obvious to most of us here.. just a fyi

The whole world does not revolve around you Stownhart. This thread ceased being about you a several posts ago.
Bah! Combine the evil of lot trades with the evil's of factory production, and you get.... well, you can guess
If I wanted to go back down that road again, within a week or two, I could be running 20 structure factories non-stop, thanks to my 2 or 3 hundred swapped harvesters sucking in Ore all the way down to 15% concentration.
The answer is not a single thing. There are 2 or 3 things that need to be addressed. And the worst part is, the Devs know this, and have a solution ready to go, but wont put it in place.

All I was pointing out is that we do infact have cheap labor(lot traded Harvestors/Factories)provided by a "Foriegn" government (Other Galaxies) that do make the Job some what easier and inmost cases a lot cheaper and definitly faster. It's not a political statement...just a correction if you will. I could care less about lot trading personaly as it does tend to flood the market with resources making them more afordable, although I don't practicelot tradingmy self.
Now I feel like a total moron! I've been selling BER 13's on the Naritus server for 180k. Some guy was giving me a hard time because I was way overpriced--he said he can get them for HALF that price.
I really have no intentions of being an undercutter. The way I look at it, I'm not only hurting my fellow crafters but I'm also shooting myself in the foot. Honestly, if someone out there thinks I've been giving these things away, by all means, let me know and I will gladly jack up the prices.

180k ish is where I roam for pricing on BER 13 harvesters.. but this thread is discussing BER 14 Harvesters ( non Fusion ) so you are fine ^^
I do not know why you are feeling this way..
I have been an architect for 690 days.. I love it I am a level 1 fighter..
My aim is to be a fast and reliable architect with a quality product to sell and to sell to those for affordable prices..
In this time i have only raised my prices once and once only..
My higest priced harvestor is the Ber14 fusion this is 90k..
I mineALL my resources and this helps to keep prices down.. i Use My partners{rl}lots for harvs and i survey for ea spawn i use.
I rely on friends to let me know if something good is spawning BUT i also use the survey droids..It is very quick to send them out wait 35mins and then know where i have to go.
I was once asked "" did you have to lower your harvestor prices by much {after CU}.. I have never had to/
I am not a slave to the factory .My harvestors are not factory run.
The firs week we started playing we were told 150k for aber10 min and to take 3 days..
I determined then to be fair a fair and good architect..
I have never been accused of undercutting.. I have clients who trave the galaxy looking for me because I'm fair.
Also in regards to the 144k size hoppers on Ber14s.. I made 145k ones the other day

Prices have dumped on Intrepid to 120k for a BER14 and 80k for BER13's.
I have stopped making harvesters all together and will most likely drop architect soon - after 19 months as an architect price cutters have killed our server.
