Ofcourse I did Explain in my Add that These take HIGH quality Resources and those resources are Uncommon.
I think People understand that this is still a good and fair price..
120k for the mediums? What's your normal price for BER 13s?

Heh, I couldn't sustain that price on my server. I'm probably going for the 60-70k range on the mediums.

Well I must admit that I'm surprised the BER11s are selling so well. But I still don't see why people would go for those. /shrug I might have to maek some after all.

I figure I'll go 90-100k for BER11's. I'm selling BER10's for 30-40k range. So thats a 60k markup.
The limiting factor on these is the premo resources. Heavies take about 2.5k of the high end material and mediums use about 1k. So I figure the markup for a medium should be 1 / 2.5 that of a heavy. Which equates to about 60k.
Yeah.. I admit that I am a little surprised at the mediums selling so well.. But.. I contend that A huge factor is also the inventory.. when people know they can come to my shop and get all that they need without having to travel around to other shops to peice together their order.. that helps to.. Great Product and Ease of Shopping sometimes makes it worth spending a little extra..

My regular prices for BER 10s are 30k (mineral/moisture...a bit low but that's because there's always others selling them for 20/25k) and 45k (all others). I've stocked the BER 11s at 50k and 75k, and so far have sold a few minerals and just a couple of the others. I actually don't expect to sell that many BER 11s since prior to this, sale of BER 10s were slow, but I did want to have them available on my vendors....just to have them stocked and just in case someone is looking to buy some.

I feel like I need to say something at this point about (blackstarr) and his business and what is has meant for me. The shop in question is in my city of Carmen on Talus. And due mostly to this architects input this city is continuing to develop. So my argument is, instead of fighting him, accusing him of under-cutting when everyone does it...why not relocate to the same area. It'd boost your business too as Starrmart is not always fully stocked (which doesn't surprise me at the rate things sell at). However slating black due to his low prices is ridiculous, surely you are going to make more profit anyway by selling at low prices because more people buy your product...

Undoubtedly someone will think up Walmart. The problem with discounting and with businesses in general is a very high rate of failure. Walmart gained a niche in the market by offering a larger variety of products and targetting a lower income bracket. Plus they had improved customer service. Walmart along with other corporations lobbied Clinton very heavily to give China most favored nation status. Walmart capitalized very heavily when that went through which is incidentally why so much of their stock is Chinese and not American.
So the lessons of Walmart really have nothing to do with cheap goods. We don't have the dubious advantage of employing cheap labor by an unscrupulous foreign government to lower our architect costs. I even heard something rather disgusting that the Guardian discovered. A Chinese cosmetics company is harvesting skin and collagen from executed prisoners to make its cosmetics products.

Walmart is really just a massive reseller actually. Buy cheap one place and resell for a profit elsewhere.

That's great for Carmen City, it really is, it's just unfortunate that it's not so great for other architects who don't have the same resources, time, etc. to compete well with that. As for moving to Carmen City, that could work well for other architects or crafters but personally, I don't need the boost to business and I'm doing great at my current location. If I ever do decide to move though, I'dprobably move to Naboo. I've always wanted to live there andit justseems so much nicer then Talus.

Well... i was planning on selling my BER 14 for 150-175k, haven't decided yet, i personally think that is quite a jump from the BER 13's which go for 100k on my server. I haven't been a Master DE for too long, but from the time that i have been, it seems that DEs have it worse off, have to put alot more time and focus into DE to get anywhere with it, with Architect its pretty easy, yes you need some good steel, but thats why ive always saved up my good Duralloy.
