Thread: Urban Planner & Player Cities
I am not questioning that they happen, I just know someone out there has the chat logs.
yea my bad about that......started writing a response to someone saying darklorsylth may be full of crap.....then i got called out for some food and didnt finish writing it till i came back ![]()
some other people posted since then....so my post was not directed at dayln or the last few people who posted....it was aimed at jigaurth (spelling)
I thought that the E2 Professions weren't going to be full 4-branch professions? It seems like (in the case of UP) an awful lot of skill points for what will be a dead end profession with a limited demand.
The info about ships sounds interesting, though I'm kind of surprised there won't be a Vehicle Engineer Profession as opposed to making another E2 off of DE.
wow good question Neworder about lots, im wondering the same thing
maybe since the mayor is the only one who can place the player city structures he will have access to special "city lots"....something like that
I hope they get the lot thing right with City Halls. I had heard rumors once that PA Halls would go against PA lot total, but that never happened.
City Halls can't realistically count against the mayor:
1. With weekly elections mayor could be changing over a lot. Are you going to have to dump all your buildings to run for mayor?
2. There are lots and lots of city structures. Only the mayor can drop them. I can't imagine a bank only being 1 lot, so if you drop a city hall you can't place anything else but a small house?
Change of subject, at the moment I am assuming that politician is going to be a starting profession. In the in development post they say, new profession, not new elite like they did for urban planner.
but they said that urban planner is going to be an elite-elite. They had to specifiy this because its the first time this idea has come up. I
That said, i woulnd't be suprised at all if it was a starting profession. This would allow people who want to me mayor to pick up novice mayor and work their way from there. If it is an elite profession i have a feeling its going to stem off the business tree under artisan, or perhapse entertainer? I guess it depends how the devs view the political system.

I stoped getting industrialist exp at like 80921 exp =(
Hmm.. mine stopped at like 19k. I don't really know why. Very strange number.
One thing I think would be useful would be the abilitty to move (at some cost and with some skill and perhaps a machine) a structure....so that when sprawl needs realigning it wouldnt force everyone to redeed.
