I didn't even consider crafting yesterday, just ran around incinerating Bolle Bols.
And if it's now possible to create 100% OMUS, then I'm outta buisness.

Guess I could log on SWG now and make the OMUSes right away, if thats all it take and no need
to assemble the whole harvester. If not, well screw architect then...oh and every other crafting profession because people will have über products.

have you tried using the very best resources ? The resource quality is the driving force right now, closer to 1000/1000/1000 and more likelihood of hitting 11 I guess.

I feel exactly the same, I am not about to log on and try for these 100% units, I would feel too much like a hypocrite. I think the change coupled with it's temporary status is the WORST thing SOE could have done, it should either never have gone in or it should stay, the handling of this whole matter has been pathetic, if it was my company there would be a bunch of guys heading for the exit with orders not to bother coming back tomorrow.

If SOE wanted to drive crafters out of the game then they have probably found the quickest way of achieving this. I am even more sick because I paid for another 6 months a week ago, what chance of a refund ?

I keep hearing about Medium BER 11's and Heavy BER 14's, but i've yet to see one. Until I actually see one, I think this is just a fairy tale.

I have materials with all 900's stats in Heat, Shock and Toughness and i still can't get above BER 10 on mediums and BER 13 on heavys.

Too many of the respected architects who contribute to this forum have reported that they have been successful in making these for it not to be true. I believe 100pct that it is possible when I hear it from the likes of Pawlin, ZenDragon, Boberfett and others.

I have only 10 points and needed 2-3 amazings, so this was within reach of people without skill tapes. I suspect the benifits of the Research Center helped me get those amazings - I don't know. But I don't live in that city. I just rode till I was within city limits, popped out my droid, and starting crafting.

ahh I forgot about my droid, I ran in someone's guild hall and used their Crafting stations lol.. now the question is what do we sell these for!!.. Im thinking about 300k....I have the schemtics to make them as well.. but what do we sell these things for and what do we sell 100% weapon repair tool or armor tool.. I made a schemtic for each of these and each of the tools at 15.00

Wasn't a joke in my opinion. I do NOT have any SEA tapes or anything and was able to do BER 7 Ore Mining Unit and BER 14 Mineral. No food either. I just visited a Research Center town so I could take advantage of their Bonus's. Took me about 10k of exceptional resources for the Ore Mining Unit to get a schem, and on Second try of Mineral I got the BER 14 (first one crit'd twice so ended up BER 12 doh!). But I can now run a hundred or so BER 14 minerals (been buying up all the spare resources I can) but it is really limited to the Sub Components I had on hand (which luckily was almost 1k of the same serial number Small Struct Storage).

Actually I am correct. It takes 12 exp points of great successes to hit those numbers. Amazing successes do get you there though, so it isn't necessary completely, that is true. However how many times at doing heavy harvesters did people need to do to get that BER14? I needed only one try.

Not going to dispute your results, just know mine. I was able to achieve BER 14 on my first attempt, (Which I was so excited about that I made into a harvester instead of a schematic). My other attempts were done in my home (not in any city) in front of a 38.8 crafting station using a 14.70 tools. I was able to achieve BER 14 with NO amazing successes, 2 out of 4 times, and this with only 11 points IIRC. I didn't write it down but do know that I went at least once with no amazing successes.

Heres hoping that with 12 points I can stil achieve BER 14 tonight. Kinda doubt it, but you never know.

Well I think the quality of resources is the difference here. I was uses steel that average about 930-940. If your had stuff that average about 970-980 you should hit it with 11 or 10 with one amazing. I didn't account for that. Still skill tapes play a huge role in this system.

99%+ of post before patch was take it out. Less than 1% said they would try it before making a decision. It seems those 1% who tried it when it went live are getting the benefit of the change.

What is the problem. Everyone was saying these changes would drive crafters out of the game now people are saying removing the changes will drive the crafters out of the game.

Did you craft lots of items so you would have a huge number of pre-nerf items? If so then that is no different then those who tried and created a large number of post-nerf(?) items.

I feel I should take issue with a couple of the points you make.

There is nothing strange about that, the most vociferous are usually the objectors, supporters do not tend to come out to voice their opinion in these matters unless they perceive a threat, in this case the threat of withdrawal appeared at the 11th hour. As it happens I did not have a firm opinion on whether it should be in or out so I am not speaking from either side of the argument, I am merely reflecting on the folly of in THEN out again,

It seems those 1% who tried it when it went live are getting the benefit of the change.
I find that difficult to believe, I would have thought that significantly more than 1% tried it, after all you don't turn down a tax cut by Republicans just because you vote Democrat do you?

What is the problem. Everyone was saying these changes would drive crafters out of the game now people are saying removing the changes will drive the crafters out of the game.
You have got the wrong end of the stick I think, it is explicitly the removal that is the problem, it is the fact that it even went in once it was decided it would be removed. 1 day live has created a false set of circumstances that cannot be repeated and have had a damaging effect. In or out, I have no major issue with, but in for just 1 day and then pulled, that is what I think is complete madness. A lot of people agree with me, even those who have had the benefit of the change.

Did you craft lots of items so you would have a huge number of pre-nerf items? If so then that is no different then those who tried and created a large number of post-nerf(?) items.
No I didn't, I crafted the same as always to keep my stocks up on my vendor. My last action prior to the patch was to put 30+ Floras that I had just made on my vendor as I had run out of stocks. This was a normal factory run for me, I always make between 30-100 of each type to keep my vendors wellstocked.

BTW, thanks for the 1 star, I cannot see why I deserved it, but you are entitled to your opinion.

I would have thought that a bit more than 1% of crafters would have tried the new system. However, many architects don't frequent these forums and I think the majority would have made one or two harvesters, seen no change in the BER after getting great successes and thought nothing of it. Only after reading on here that people were getting 100% expermentation with amazing successes did I persevere.

So while quite a few architects on these forums have made BER11 mediums and BER14 heavies, I don't think this is necessarily respresentative of all architects.
