Read a book. You will open your mind to many new universes. I'm almost done with the New Jedi Order series and will read The Purpose Life after that. Then I'm going to read a book about navy seals and who knows after that. That's the great thing about reading. You can choose to read about anything you want. It never gets old.

I have been playing KoTOR II. Pretty cool that you actually have to craft a LS in this second installment. It is fun, and it keeps my mind at ease. At least in KoTOR I am a Jedi, and no one is complaining, and no time consuming tedious insane grind to complete.

Then when I just want to slice and dice, there is Jedi Academy.

I did both A and B andthey help a lot. I also went and changed all my combat music and keep it on a rotation so that it varies. It's fun to turn the sound effect

volume down, crank the combat music and grind away!

Doh... I usually ignore the posts about game details but I would like to find where I can change my Music..

Don't grind, do missions you enjoy. Maybe do some NPC quests, visit a POI that you never have explored fully, try some crafting or harvesting, rewrite your macro's, redecorate your house, devise a quest for your guild, help a noob, pester an enemy, bark for a friend, seduce a Twi'Lek.

Just a few ideas... hope one works

Another way that helped me pushed through it is I broke down how many caps i have to do for each box...It seemed smaller that way, as i set little goals for myself so I felt I accomplished more.

Take some time off and play EQ2. In fact play it until the CU and then come back to SWG - you'll feel right at home. I took about a year off and spent my time switching between Dark Ages of Camelot (its only a model) and EQ2. So much had changed when I came back that it took some time to remember everything all over again. I was never the type to just grind grind grind - that gets too boring. Every now and then I'd do one of the phase quests, but for the most part I was working on BH (lots of fun) and enjoying JTL (working on Tier4 now). I was perfectly content to play the game and get my Jedi as I felt like it, but after the CU announcement I'm going all out grinding to at least finish up the FS grinding. Once that's done I'm sure I'll be fed up and go back to JTL for awhile.

The game has some nice content I.e. Themeparks, DWB, Geno caves, Warren, etc. the problem is that under the current system most are a joke. I did the warren solo and unbuffed....I mean c'mon. The themeparks are a joke too. The only tough ones that are really challenging are the Vette and DWB. Maybe the new system will make them fresh again for the new people that come to SWG, but for the vets the content is dead atm. The GCW changes were for the better - I like that we can control planets and such...I have high hopes for the wookie planet...

Hey, I quit the game, gave both of my accounts to a friend, took a year off. Then I found out that they totally redid the grind to become FS, and bang - here I am. Lucky for me my friend took my master swordsman/master dancer (holo quest)/budding master scout (another holo quest), finished master scout, added master medic and master doctor, got bored with it, and then gave it back to me when I found out about the FS grind change and came back.

But then again, I'd say that just from a purely subjective point of view, SWG sucked last year - melee professions were totally nerfed (it was all about getting kited, non-stop), FS wasn't doable without holocrons, holocrons required that you give up hard earned skills that you liked in order to master the gayest professions imaginable (oh lord, I wanted to kill someone after an hour of dancing, yet had to do it fora week), and holocrons weren't obtainable as a solo player and almost exclusivelywent to creature handlers. Random tirade coming... (I think if any profession should be permanently PvP and permadeath enabled, it should be creature handlers; lord, I would spend months tracking these lazy wusses down and killing them. That would bring joy to my game...)

Oh well; off on a tangent here... Heck, I'd say that if it's not giving you any joy, take a break. Get some distance, back off, look at everything else going on in your life, and ask yourself if this game is worth your time? I've always wanted (since launch day+3, when I originally joined) to become a Jedi. Now that it's doable for normal folks, I'm psyched, but if they hadn't made that change, I never would have come back and I would have been perfectly happy staying away.

I have just finished mastering BH, and yes Ill admit I respeced somewhat. I respced the Investigation line because it seemed like hell to do it. Other than that I was doing it the old fashioned way.

What id like to know is..

1- Template- Of course I have Master BH as I said. I would like to have Master Smuggler as well. Will I have a chance at hunting Jedi if I do so? With the last few SP I have left I was thinking pistoleer. Some general rules or suggestions here would be appreciated.

2- Equipment- What if any gear makes the most difference?

3- Techniques- Do you hunt and track a target for long periods waiting for them to just happen to let their guard down and or be weak? Or do you geberally attack upon sight?

1) choose a template that you ENJOY - i can not stress this enough, make sure you have a root and 2 high damaging attacks are always nice (adv critical for one, and then either headshot or legshot or bodyshot)

2) get armor with the highest protection v energy you can find/afford - and a gun with the highest damage you can find/afford

3) every BH has a different style, find your own style, the style that best suits your play

Well I know I enjoy Smuggler from another toon. So unless it is a glaring error Ill Go Master BH and Smuggler plus some pistol. Smuggler gives me a root and Im pretty sure I can do some decent damage with with some BH attacks? Not 100% on that yet.

I like the Scatter pistol. Are there far better ones out there? Mostly it looks cool when it fires : ) Anyway, armor? Who sells the best on kettemoor? Anyone know?
