Thread: Crafting Station Question
Crafting Station at 43.8% is Excellent !
The highest rating is 45, and I have never seen one higher then 44%
To use it, just stand near it. That's it ![]()
I have it in one end of a small Tat house room and I can sit at the opposite end of the room. And it works fine.
Does it have a radial menu as you go higher in the crafting of meds or artisan skills?
or
Does it just have a local physical radius that it affects ?
Sorry...It's a little confusing.

Like you i am ignorant to crafting and dont really want to craft anything. I have been fortunate in my holocrons I suppose. FIrst one said PIKE (yay) second one was medic (yay) third one smuggler (yay, except for slicing, boo) now my fourth one says Doctor, ugh (I gave up all of medic for smuggler, yes I kepte master brawler and pike as I am melee oriented)
So, no I have to grind through a profession I dont really like or want to do. However, the complexity of all this crafting is somewhat interesting. I have a 42+ crafting station on order and wont get it for a week. I will probably be done with doc by then and have dropped it but I have two other character accounts and do plan on making one of them a doc.
So how does the number on the crafting station play out? does it add experimentation points or reduce crit failures or is it just insignificant?
If you are merely grinding the profession, I would buy 6-7 crafting tools (not Stations). I would then get 22k of Tatooine Fiberplast and 22k of Lokian Wild Wheat. Next, set up a macro to make Advanced Biological Effect Controllers. You should be able to find one on www.swgmedic.com. I don't care for the macros, but my second time through the tree, I used one and I got through the entire Doctor tree in one night.
If you plan to use Doctor for a little while for the crafting and all, you will need at least one Food and Chemical tool, 3-4 would probably be best. One crafting station would do just fine. It really isn't hard to use. Just use your tool somewhere near the station. If you are using a crafting macro, make sure you are fairlly far away from the station. Basically, if your macro doesn't work, move farther away. However, for the benefits of the crafting station, you just have to use a tool near it. Nothing special with the radial menu.
Hope this helps you a little bit.
