Thread: an idea
I was thinking that when people start openng the fs, a few things open up for them that stay hidden from other players.
Like planets.
I mean as a fs character you have to train. Jedi will have to as well. Why not have a planet that only fs and jedi have access to and they must travel there to train and level up. Its a lonely existence, certainly dificult, but it would go along with soe's idea of the fs/jedi life.
Certainly soe could make it where some of the npc's normal players see in the game are actually jedi that only fs players can interact with. Or maybe those npc's interact differently with fs/jedi than the rest of the population.
chik
ye that is why im suggesting a new weapon cert for them that is a tranquilizer rifle.
and why does a ranger need to track players, bounty hunters are going to need player track and npc track more than rangers and dont forget that BH's are master scouts also.
rangers should be able to further animal tracking ability and use a tranquilizer rifle. while BH's should be able to track people and npcs.
ok, i know rangers just got area track and all but i think scouts should have a part of it. I think scouts should get the basic ability to track animals (not players or npcs), this is necessary for explorer missions. Now, if you choose bounty hunter you should get the ability to track npcs and players because bounty hunters need that a lot more than rangers would. If you choose ranger you should further your ability to track animals.
Now i think rangers should get something to make up for not being able to track players and npcs, so i think they should get a new weapon called the tranquilizer rifle or someting like that. the farther you adavnce on the skill tree the stronger creatures you should be able to put to sleep with the rifle. once they are asleep you should be able to capture them or DB them, or if your a CH tame them easier.
if anyone else has a suggestion please post.
Heh, I'd pay money to see a group of master dancers and musicians go after a dark jedi master. Good luck killing lots of them considering a) they're rare b) nasty one hit kill buggers
Nah, killing dark jedi probably has nothing to do with unlocking the FSCS. Probably involved in becoming a jedi though.
Killing Dark Jedi is pretty easy since they're pure melee. I've killed a good 5 or 6 I've seen wandering around Tatooine with just Novice Pistoleer. Only thing you have to watch out for is their occasional "warp 100m directly on top of you" trick.
Really doubt the FS slot is opened purely by killing a bunch of Dark Jedi though. Would be way too reproduceable.
Right now, for example, to get BH Pistol 2 which grants us Eyeshot, the only requirement to get it is 250k Pistol Weapon XP. I say we add Investigation II as an additional requirement. By doing this, we almost garauntee cutting down just about99.9% of the Pistoleer population out of BH (after all, what Pistoleer is gonna waste his time and money on droids and the Skill Points needed going up the BH Pistol Tree if it's required to do some actual BH work?).
So what I propose would look like this: To get BH Pistol 2, you need 250,000 Pistol Weapon XP AND Investigation II.
Adding Investigation as a requirement would solve all our problems with dabblers and nerf callers. It also makes sense too. The more up the Investigation Tree you are, thebetter and more powerful you are as a BH and justifies are powerful and devastating specials that we are granted. And for most true BH's, this change won't be much of a problem, as they will be going up the Investigation Tree also; only the dabblers will complain. But I believe Investigation skill as well as combat skills combined make up a BH, not just combat skills alone.
