Thread: Factory crates
Anyone know if this is an oversight by the developers, or working as intended.
I started up a factory run the other night. I got tired of making potted plants, so I thought I would run off 500 or so, and just store them and sell as needed. What I found out was when finished they do not go into crates. They just pop out one at a time.
Also, ore mining units do the same. Other things, like structure modules and generator turbines crate up nicely.
With me being a merchant, I deal in large quantities of "stuff". Crates are invaluable to me, and this is more than a minor anoyance.
Anything else that doesnt crate properly? Torches, other furniture?

Can't get my factory to pull structure modules out of the crates, its is a real pain to unload 100 of them and fill the input hopper, wait for the first one to be made then load the last 10.
Anyone else able to get their factories to pull bricks?
There are many ways to do this. 1) Just split the finished crate of 50 into the size you want 2) Only add enough resources to the factory to create 10 or 25 items at a time 3) Set the maximum number of the schematic to the number you want to produce.
That said, splitting crates is more efficient and easier. Hope this helps
Well you could 1) split the component crates into 10's, 25's or whatever you want the end crate to be and start it up. It will run out of componets leaving you with a nice partial crate. Or 2) make a regular crate of 50 - or whatever you end up with and split the final crate into the small sizes. Splitting crates is done by clicking on the crate in your inventory, choosing split and specifing the number you want in the new crate. It shows up in your inventory.
Hope this helps.
When you doa factory run it comes out in a factory crate.
So i9f you do a run of 10 items it will come alltogether in one crate and you can pull htem out as needed.
As for the 999999999999 those are just things people want to store so they put on a vendor for a price people cant or wont pay.
