Thread: Why NOT sell low.

If I were only in it for the money
**edit** I wish people would think like this in the real world. I would love to have a 5K sq. ft. home for $10,000. You don't happen to be in the construction business do you?

I just said that making the most money is not my higest goal, heck it isnt any archetects goal thatknow how tocount.
It was my goal, but apparently there's a buch of socialist hippies that are all architects.

You are mad! Capitilism has price controls! What the hell do you think subsidies are for? What the hell do you think anti-trust laws are for? Laws against Monopolies, Oligopolies, etc. etc. It's there to protect business and economic drive in a capitialist nation. What the socialists did is price control to the extreme. Well do you know what happens when you do that? You can't buy bread for a week! This is why even if you had the money you couldn't buy a car in Socialist Russia. They weren't available.
I really don't understand where you are coming from. I would highly recommend finding your local university and consider taking classes in Economics and Capitalism. When you do come back to the boards and talk to us.

You will never drive me out of business. I've been master Arch since July. I've seen many goofs like you come & go.
Notice the tag of Master Armorsmith. I'll make what people need. Deeds, Armor, or speculation on raw resources. If one is down, the others take up the slack. I still do 2-6 heavy harvesters a day.
I have deeper pockets, and more diverse sources of income. You can't dream of touching me, even though you seem to think you can.
My issue with YOU is that you make it impossible for people that only have 10 lots to run, to succeed as an architect. House=2-6, Factory=2, Power=1, Gas=1, Chem=1, Mineral=3. This kind of person can't produce very much. They rely on purchased resources to get anything done. Selling at 3 means selling a loss. They can't afford to do that.
You ruin the profession for regular players. That's why I think you're a dickhead.
So im a dickheadbecause I dont want a house? Im a dickhead because I dont sell at what you sell at? Im have no intentions of driving anyone out of business, I'm an arch because I want to be, money is nice, but there isnt a need for millions of credits. I only have 10 lots, I do not have friends, Im not very social. I survive, dont get a house, that frees up at least 2 lots, I ruin the proffesion, Ha, regular players can do just what I am doing, I ruin the proffesion for money hungry architects, the casual player can still be an arch its just slow. I make sales, no problem, I enjoy collection resources, and building houses, I dont look at it as a grind, I look at it as enjoyment, a diversion from other things, You look at the proffesion as MONEY. The game has a lot more to offer. Sorry this post is so disorganized, my stupid friends keep asking me stupid questions.
Wonderful, The Architect profession COSTS money, unless you mine?
I am the leader of my PA, I have 9 lots taken up by a PA hall. Oh boy! I am screwed.

Dont whine, its your choice to host the PA hall, borrow lots from your guild friends.
Well, I am sorry that you feel I am "whining." I am not. I rather enjoy leading my PA into the unknown. Well, maybe not the unknown, as we're all masters. At least offering them some direction.
Too bad there's no voice inflection on these boards, as you will clearly see that I was joking about.
Sorry to have caused you any distress.

Obviously you didn't live in a communist country. I did, and trust me everything was dirt cheap. Even imported products were sold at much lower prices than their real market value (reminds me of someone hehe). Of course it was hard to get and you had to stay in line for hours but that's another story.

They were available but in a very limited way. You had to be in a certain job or to have certain contacts or simply bribe someone to get your car. As for capitalism don't you have anti dumping policies?

Your entire point in posting was to whine about people whining. What the hell does that mean you're doing? I don't see architect in your post there....and I smell troll, not monkey. Maybe a wet monkey troll.
Don't listen to the price fixers, Dayln. They will insult you, try using guilt trips, whatever it takes so that you'll play ball with them, just as they have done here.
Enjoy your game. You owe them nothing. Don't buy the "opportunity cost" argument unless the "lost opportunity" has some fun value to you. If it is no fun selling resources, while it is fun to build, ignore them, and go have fun.
