Thread: Why NOT sell low.

You will never drive me out of business. I've been master Arch since July. I've seen many goofs like you come & go.

Notice the tag of Master Armorsmith. I'll make what people need. Deeds, Armor, or speculation on raw resources. If one is down, the others take up the slack. I still do 2-6 heavy harvesters a day.

I have deeper pockets, and more diverse sources of income. You can't dream of touching me, even though you seem to think you can.

My issue with YOU is that you make it impossible for people that only have 10 lots to run, to succeed as an architect. House=2-6, Factory=2, Power=1, Gas=1, Chem=1, Mineral=3. This kind of person can't produce very much. They rely on purchased resources to get anything done. Selling at 3 means selling a loss. They can't afford to do that.

You ruin the profession for regular players. That's why I think you're a dickhead.

I don't need to compete with others like you. I still have my regular customers buying 2-6 heavies a day. When someone comes to me, they get the deeds they want, fast. One guy wanted 6 heavies yesterday. He had them in under an hour. I provide better service than you do.

If nobody wants to buy deeds at 6.5, I'll do other things with my resources, like make armor that fetches 40 cred/res, or sell the resources at 3-10 each.

You & others like you can sell for under 3. Go to 2 if you want. The only person you drive out of business is yourself. I'm gathering that you're a relative noob arch. It's new, challenging, exciting. You're levelling up, getting cool new schematics, etc.

Making a heavy harvester isn't quite as exciting once you've made 100 of them. Make a PA hall, then tell me how you feel about selling at 3 cred/resource. I don't hate Architecture, or I wouldn't be doing it, but it's a bit of a job. As long as I'm making enough for my work, and my customers treat me well, I feel respected, & enjoy helping my customers. I've taken up Armorsmith to add some diversity to my time in SWG, and it's also enjoyable.

Except that you help make it impossible for a casual player to be an architect, and you create the impression the Architects have no value, because hey, they work for free.

Arch will continue to be a "junk" profession as long as deeds sell for less than raw resources. You help perpetuate that. You're taking a loss as an Architect, because you made a profit as a miner. Logic dictates that makes you a failure as an Architect.

Those of us that want to BE ARCHITECTS, not just make a few deeds & move on tend to be annoyed with those of you that kill the viability.

P.S. The person to stop posting first loses, let's see if we can get another 30 replies in here.

Adune: he's not a master yet, he's still using medium harvesters. On a side note, there's a 79% Carb Ore vein on Talus! I'll send you a WP tonight (my guess is that you've already got it).

You may have, but you're no master and I guarantee you this, the 10th PA hall you make is the most tedious work there is... Grinding wood staves wasn't even that boring

I actually don't have that one yet. I was away this weekend camping, and all my heavies are on the nice Iron & craaazy Copper that popped up. I still have 500k ore from the last shift where I put all the heavies on the 65% Sili vein, with 100k carb saved from earlier, & close to 60 turbines in crates left.

My efforts are going into Armorsmith for a while

The more you post the less believable you seem to me. Claiming to have done all you have claimed to have done in the month since you started playing while only playing 2 hours a day is a bit beyond credible. You just make this stuff up as you go along, sometimes parroting what you've read in other's posts. I thought they were wrong when they first accused you of not even being an architect, but now I'm starting to have my doubts too. Clearly being a troll is something you are not unfamiliar with, but I'm seriously starting to get the impression that being an architect is.
